Topic: Lookign for Friends ( Fort Myers area)

Hello everyone,

I would love to meet some people here in my area. I had VSG in Aug 2010. I have lost from 366-209. My Dr is Moses Shieh. He is amazing.

I am 34 a wife and mom of two little ones. Looking forward to getting to you all.

Also would love to join any support groups in the area!

Dr Marema at Flager Hospital in St. Augustine, and Dr. Kim at Celebration hospital both take Medicare. They are with Marema's US Bariatric. Dr. Marema has done over 7,000 weight loss surgeries, and his staff is great to work with.

My surgery went well. This is post op day 5. The first day after surgery I said to myself "OMG what did I do?" But today I am much better, I am even feeling hungry today. I am just having a real hard time figuring out how I am supposed to eat. I guess I will figure it out..

Surgery went well for me. I am just trying to learn how I am supposed to eat. I am sooooooo confused. Yesterday I was still drinking something, either water or protein shake, 30cc every 20 minutes like I was in the hospital. Today I managed to drink one whole 8oz shake and 10 oz of water so far. Should I know be eating like 3 meals a day or am I doing ok?

Ok all - Im pretty much just getting the same thing from everywhere I check - there doesnt seem to be an "OH" support group already formed - so... those that are interested - in forming just a "Oh lean on me / friends" etc kinda group - pls email me: [email protected]
Please make sure you add your city as I want to try to find something about middle ground for all interested..
However - it is still HIGHLY recommended that we either join our surgeons support group - or find one that is local to you (there are tons all over.. call your surgeon and chances are they know of some that are closer to you.)

And dont forget to join Bariatric Buddy Group here in OH.. meets online to chat every monday at 7p est!! Fun AND informative.

OH is perfect support group for when we are home.. I think I may have one in New Port Richey - Im waiting on response now.. I will post info here for any that are interested if it turns out Im right..

Thanks all - and hope we can meet up - even if its only once in awhile! would be awesome to have a group of friends that A) understand the ups n downs, b) wont judge - but be supportive and c) allows for equal back n forth situation!
