Just wanted to say hi to everyone and wish you a Happy Holidays. My surgery is only 6 days away. I'm going through an ocean of emotion right now and trying to not over analyze anything.  Peace Amy-jo

Hey! Thanks Amy-Jo! Happy Holidays to you and your family as well. Wow, 6 days will be here and gone before you know it... my surgery is in 13 days and the emotions haven't hit too hard yet, but I'm sure they will. I wish you the best and hope everything works out for you!

Thanks and I'm happy to say my surgery did go well. I am still a little sore at the port site but it is getting better every day. I think Dr G is great too as well as his PA Angie and nurse Mary. Everybody at his office goes the extra mile.  Peace  Amy-jo

The night before my surgery follow up appointment I was pulling up the sheets in the bed and yanked on the drain!!!   That was the worst pain of the whole experience.  It felt so good when that thing came out! Have you had your drain taken out yet? That's the weirdest feeling!

I bet that emotion has changed to joy with the weight loss! Way to go!!!!  I had surgery December 18th, same as Katie,  and have similar start weight and goals. I haven't weighed yet, but go in tomorrow for my 2 week post op appt, can't wait to get these staples out! I would love to share this journey with like minded people and it looks like I have hit on a good site. I'm still getting used to the set up, but hope to find this a great way to reach out to others, we're all in this together and hopefully I can support you and make you laugh a little along the way. Congrats on the start of an amazing journey to good health, look out 2008!
