WHO TV & DMS Register Update

Just wanted to update my last post. Since this morning the Des Moines Register called me and Dawn Sagario informed me that they are planing a story for this sundays paper ! And that this one would be a balanced one she talked to me for over an hour and asked a lot of good questions. But like I told her I will belive it when I read it ! And as far as WHO TV ( P. Dix ) I have called his direct line at least 6 times today and have left as many emails I also linked my emails to this website to be sure he would see our postings! If anyone else is having any luck please let me know because as far as I can see WHO TV is just blowing us off and couldn't care if we do no****ch them! If this has done nothing else it has showed me which local news station I should watch if I want to get at least some of the truth! Not just one sided stories because as we all know there is 2 sides to everything if we like it or not!! Please pass on any input you guys might have that might help everyone understand what has been going on. I have an appt: with Dr AC on tuesday and am still trying to get in to see the big cheese at IMMC to find out why they are cutting back when most of us feel that they should be doing more WLS. If I understand correctly they have done 298 WLS over the last 2-3 years ( by 2 doctors ) my hospital bills for my surgery was about 35,000.00 and that dose not inclued follow up care every month and the 13,000.00 for my hernia repair so 35,000.00 x 298 = $ 10,430,000.00 and that is by just 2 doctors in 2-3 years ( I got 298 from WHO TV news report so who knows how right that is) I would think that with that kind of income and with the number of people wanting to have WLS!! Hell they should build a new wing on IMMC just for WLS. Maybe someone at IMMC should wake up and understand that its not going to stop because they stop doing them . Its just everyone will go over to Mercy or to another Hospital in another city and they will build that new wing ! SORRY I am getting off on a tantrum!!!!
