I'm sorry everyone
I am really sorry for my last post. I should not have brought my sister into this at all. I guess I was feeling really down and was so hoping for some advice. Does anyone know of another place that I can get advice?
As of now, I will have to try to do this on my own. I would really appreciate hearing of any places that would be of support to go on a diet and help to keep me on track.
Sorry again,
Diane
I believe there are several places that can help you, but first, you have to decide are you doing this for you or for other people. You have to take care of yourself or it won't matter what anyone else thinks in the long run. I am not trying to sound harsh but it was a lesson that I had to learn before it killed me. If you like being on the internet, there are places like E.diet.com(not sure of web address). There are local community groups that meet, overeaters anonymous, weigh****chers, etc. I pray that you will find some inner peace with this and just take it one day at a time, DO NOT beat yourself up if you slip every once in a while we are all human not perfect. Be proud of being a mother, soon to be grandmother, not to mention the fact that you have opened you heart and home to take in other peoples children that would otherwise have no home. THat in itself should make you realize that you matter.!!
Hi Diane!
There is no reason why you should not get advice and encouragement here...it's just a difficult situation when you bring up your sister and she is also an active member.
Do you work? And if you do, does your weight and health problems affect your job performance? The reason I am asking these questions is that several people have gone through Vocational Rehabilitation for having this surgery paid for. I would contact them as soon as possible to see if you qualify for any of their services...Can you get a loan? Mortgage your home?...etc. Don't give up...there are always options.
