Sad
I share a work space with another RN, she is only 23 years old, married just a year, cute as a bug! In December she felt a lump in in lower abdomen, had a MRI, it was a "fibroid tumor" needed to be removed. The plan was to remove the tumor, spare the uterus and everything would be fine. Well she had her surgery today, the tumor was cancer and she had to have a hysterectomy (she does not have children). She will have to chemo and radiation. My heart is just breaking, I feel like she is one of my kids. Her name is Melissa if you could remember her in your prayers. AND I called the insurance company today, I was denied, not sure why yet, she said it would be explained in a letter. I am sure it is just lack of documentation or something but I have to say its not been a good day!

My heart just breaks for Melissa. I will definately keep her in my heart & prayers.
My daughter had a similar thing happen when she was 23. She now has a 25 yr. old son, who she became Mom to at 3 yrs. of age.
Let her know I am thinking of her & her hubby. If I can be of any help/comfort to her, pass on my name & email addy, ok?Now, you keep on trying, fight for your surgery. I was denied, & had to resubmit everything again- even had to change Drs. because the first one went Homopatic & wouldn't submit all the necessary paperwork- so stay strong
& don't give up
