Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing ok. Marianne..better? New post-ops...getting around ok? I'm here at work but it's going to be a short day. I have to leave work ~12:30 (southside) to pick up Bill (east side) for doctor appointments (west side). Mine's at 2:15 and his is at 3:45.At least they are relatively close. Mine's at 86th & Naab, his is at 103rd & Meridian. I am SO anxious for Wednesday to get here! My plastics appointment is that day at 3:45 with Dr. Bergman (the same surgeon who did Marianne's & Carmen's). Then on Friday, we head to Indiana Beach for a little fun...let's hope fun in the sun. Right now, it's not suppose to rain while we're there. Well..you all have a terrific day! Sherri

MORNING EVERYONE,        BACK TO WORK IN A FEW MINUTE BUT THIS IS A SHORT WEEK FOR ME . I GO FOR MY 3 MONTH CHECK UP THURSDAY, IT WILL BE 3 MONTHS TOMORROW. IT FEELS A LOT LONGER MOST OF THE TIME. I HAVE 6 POUNDS TO GO TO MAKE MY 100 POUND MARKI WAS HOPING TO MAKE IT BY THE TIME I WENT BACK TO THE DOC BUT I DONT THINK I AM GOING TO MAKE IT.  WELL EVERYONE I NEED TO GET MY BUTT IN GEAR AND GET READY FOR WORK.  HAVE A BLESSED DAY VICKI  

Oh Sherri, I would be excited about Wednesday too! I'm going next Tuesday on the 31st with Dr. Grassee. I'm tickled. I'm 30 pounds from my goal, so I figure if I lose part of that, part will come off in surgery. I am hoping to have ps sometime in the fall. Around my 1 year surgiversary.  I am feeling so much better than I did last week. It's amazing to me how those little medication tweaks can help me out. So, back to work today, it is. I am actually glad to be getting into the office.  Linda Vicory

IT'S MONDAY...IT'S MONDAY...and I'm one day closer to my surgery!!!!!!!!!  I'm a bundle of emotions right now...so much going on in my life...and surgery is getting very close...I'm so excited...hope everyone has a great day....i'm at work and hope the day goes fast!!!  hugs to all Jen

Monday...argh!   Back to work.   14 days to PS (aug 7th).    Sherri, You are going to love Dr Bergman.  She is the best listener.   She doesn't tell you how she wants you to look, she asks you how you want to look and then works with you to get to that goal. Enjoy your week!

Morning Everyone, Heading to Indy this morning to have a followup ultrasound. Last Tuesday my OB thought that the baby wasn't big enough so he ordered another ultrasound to check and make sure everything is okay. So off I go this morning to find out. Had a good weekend in Michigan camping, but glad I'm home. In some ways I just shouldn't have attempted it but it was oh so fun anyways. Hope everyone has a pleasant Monday Jodi

Hey everyone!!! We had a great weekend... Went to the pool on Saturday and Sunday and just sat in the sun... Got Harry Potter the new book on Friday and I finished it last night... sad that it's done but it was a good ending... I finally started and it seems like since I started my period my weight has been FALLING off... I'm almost halfway to goal in like 3 more lbs... I can't believe it...
Today I'm going shopping with my mom and grandma for a dress for my sister's wedding that's in 3 weeks... hopefully if we find one and buy it it won't be too big for the wedding... Luckily my mom and grandma are buying because I don't want to buy a dress that's going to be too big and spend a good 100.00 on it like they want to... I still have my god son he's staying until next week..
I also found out on friday that I got the job that I wanted and I don't have to take a pay cut, so my vacation is over in a week but I got the job that I wanted so I'm really excited... Also... today is my 7th wedding anniversary... 7 years... it doesn't seem like that long.. WLS saved my marriage that's for sure... it was hard before hand and rocky but things are FANTASTIC now..

Sherri, I haven't been to Indiana Beach in years and would love to go back... was it expensive for you to park the RV? And good luck at your plastics interview thingy... I can't wait to get it done but i'm waiting until after I have my baby, I don't want to have it and then stretch it all back out ya know?

Linda, I'm glad that you're feeling better!!! Meds are awesome!

Hey Jess... Not another word about Harry Potter! I haven't gotten it yet so shhhhhhh.... We are staying at Indiana Beach's campgroud (as oposed to Jelly Stone). For a full hook-up that is a pull-through, for 2 nights, it averages $31.61 a night (taxes, I guess). I think the rates are online. It would be less if you didn't want full hook-up or if you were tent camping. There is transportation to the amusement park from it and from Jellystone. Sherri

Hi Everyone,  Boy, does my body ache today- I pulled a whole section of waist high weeds out of my flower bed & found I did have flowers on there!Now gotta go get mulch and 'getter done" before surgery. My grandson was camping all week , so I ended up solo wehile Dana went at the garden section. Geez, those darn weeds get out of control when you are gone!! Plus, I set all of the rock we gathered in Minn. around our pond -it looks just wonderful! I always wanted the real waterfall affect & now I have it!I will try to post pics when I can get them downloaded.   Today I am planning on hopefully getting   mulch and  talking Dana into this neat metal archway for our garden entrance, just depends on if I can get my creaky bones out of this chair.. Anyone heard from them? Just sending out a "shout out" that I'm thinking of them.  I  am so happy for gals/guys getting plastics/body sculptings. I am here for you, and excited to share your journey.  ** After a long, honest talk with both my PCP & Dr. Inman,  I have found that I am not a good candidate for it- my skin is too thin /sensitive in all the wrong places and I tend to have too many complications-infections, scar tissue,rejection of any material,  on & on. It is OK with me- I can use one of  those wonderful bodyshapers! (I did do a consult with a PS, just out of curiosity, and even she said -too risky.) My daughter & I had a long conversation yesturday about it. She said " Mom, you are beautiful both inside where it really matters and outside. PS will only change what is on the outside and could make a mess of your insides.Look at all the complications you always have ~you can't afford to risk your health! Sure you could look thinner and carry less "baggage"(my term), but would that really bring you a healthier body? You have had so many surgeries and your body is tell you "enough". I/we love you too much to risk losing you / seeing you ill & suffer over something like this." I am so grateful to have such a wonderful relationship with my girls, where they can "tell me like it is-as they see it" and be honest,respectful and unconditionally loving. Whew- I'm long winded today- gotta get out of this chair & going, so hope everyone has a great one!! (((hugs))) Ellen

Ellen, I am sooo proud of you!! Plastics is definatly not for everyone. You are very wise to listen to your Dr. and know that you are healthier just as you are now. I am thrilled with my results but, I would have been happy without it had my Dr. said it was not healthy for me. my goal all along is to be a healthy Goddess! Pounds have not made a ruler of my life. I am truly the exception the most rules. Here I was at 266 pounds having my final plastic surgery done when many WLS patients start out their WL journey with my ending weight!  :o) I was lucky to be a good candidate as the only other abdominal surgery I have had was my RNY and I am not prone to infections and by wearing the body shapers while losing my skin stayed supported and did not thin out to much. Ellen we all have enjoyed the many joys our physical changes have made in our lives but true beauty comes from within and sweetie you are simply radiant! I knew from the moment I first met you that you were the sweetest spirit I had ever met! Stay healthy and you are always beautiful! Hugs! Marianne
