Fair Food! Remeber when we would have ate our Fill!
“….a bowl generously filled with buttery mashed potatoes surrounded by slow-roasted, fork-tender roast beef topped with savory beef gravy, sprinkled with cheddar cheese and finished with a ripe red cherry tomato.” Doesn't even sound good now. Maybe I did have brain surgery not gastric? God is good to the faithful E

I can eat as much as I want...I just don't want much.
I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...
CORN. THE OUTTER LAYER PEELED BACK AND DIPPED IN THE HOT MELTED DRIPPING BUTTER, YOU TAKE A NIBBLE AND ITS ALL OVER YOUR MOUTH FACE HANDS AND ARMS. BOY THOSE WHERE THE DAYS( not anymore) AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, A BIG OL JUICEY STEAK SANDWICH WITH ALL THE TOPPINGS LIKE LETTUS, MUSTARD KETCHUP PICKLES CHIPS YOU NAME IT.
OH I REMEMBER THEM DAYS AND NEVER WANT TO EAT THAT WAY AGAIN. BUT I AM GOING TO THE FAIR SATURDAY EVENING . IT IS POS TO BE COOLER THEN. I MIGHT HAVE TO WALK PAST EVERYTHING AND JUST SMELL IT FOR OLD TIME SAKE. BUT NOTHING WILL PASS OVER MY TONGUE BU****ER AND ICE VICKI
so I don't suppose I will ever have my favorite fair foods again. But my favorites were the fried vegetables and fried cheese sticks. OH! And the lemon shakeups! And elephant ears--oh I love elephant ears! Also the BIG dill pickles--which I guess I will still be able to have, but it might take me a week to eat a whole one!! If you have a prayer request whether WLS or personal, please visit our website at www.packardministries.org and click on PRAYER or email me at [email protected]
You will be added to our daily prayers. One of our ministry objectives is to support those having or had WLS. Pastor Dan
OH, and PS... I doubt you remember this, but a while back I asked for prayers for my mom, something I don't feel I can do very well, so I needed help. Anyway, the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with her and were going back and forth between MS and Lupus, and then in the middle of it all she lost her job and therefore insurance. she has lost pretty much all feeling from the waist down as well as her hands, arms and across her shoulders. After going through this for months, they are now saying that she has two vertebrae in her neck that are severely out of whack and cutting off the flow of fluid in her spinal column. They think they can make her better with surgery, which they have scheduled for August 31st, the last day of her insurance coverage. So we're so relieved it isn't the MS, and I wanted to let you know and say thanks (you put her on your prayer list, i remember). Feel free to add her again on the 31st if you don't mind, but I wanted to let you know that yours and others prayers have worked for her. So again, thanks!
