I AM APPROVED!!!!!
I am approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited.....I have waited to hear those words for NINE LONG months (though I know there are many out there that have waited longer). I went to St. V's for the seminar three weeks ago and something got screwed up with my insurance and they said that I was not going to be covered AT ALL...but my hubby and I fought it alongside his work and came out on top. The insurance companey screwed up the contract and didnt leave it the way they wanted it...so they had to rechange the contract so that BS would be a covered option. Well they resubmitted everything the day after the St. Vs seminar (without my knowledge lol Thank goodness) the info submitted was everything they had already looked over plus my supervised weightloss from a physician. Well I called yesterday and the Rep said "It is" I had to ask "Its is, WHAT" I was waiting for "It is ...not" LOL Then she went and varified for me and I told her I was gonna jump through the phone and kiss her lol...I am still walking in cloud nine! Now to get down to business...can anyone lay out the basic procedure to surgery? Including when I get a date ( I should be recieving my approval letter next week), all of my appointments up to surgery and what they are, things I need to buy, shakes I should try...I want to make sure I am READY as ready as can be lol.
YAY!!!! Thanks for all the support!!!!!
Lisa K.
As far as the procedures, since I am still in the "waiting" process....for my date that is........I don't know what to tell you, other than don't stress out over the length of time you may still have to wait. That is depending on your Doctor. Just take it easy, the fun is only beginning! LOL

Yay for you! You will soon have a date. I called my insurance company to have them fax the approval letter to me. When I got the letter, I then faxed it to Amy at Dr. Gupta's office. It took them 2 weeks from their to call me with my date. Seemed like 2 months though. Trust me, dont call them because they wont answer the phone and they wont return your call if it is just to check the status of your date.
OMG THATS GREAT NEWS, Faith!
I can only speak for my experience. I am having surgery on the 27th of Sept. Doc Huse contacted me within 1 day of approval to get a date...but I know that is unusual.
DO NOT go out and buy anything before surgery. I went to the Nutrition class (NUT class) yesterday and they tell you EVERYTHING and also give you a grocery list to get before surgery so u will have when u get home. Like Sherri said, stick to what the dietician and your doc says...then when can eat a bit more variety...take all the suggestions you can get from these wonderful people on this forum, I like to call them my "Indiana Posse" lol
Congrats again
Lord, keep me in your will so I won't be in your way.

hope you get your date quickly and can get started on your new life
