HI all!

Well, 14 days and counting till we're closed for the season! But who's counting ? ME! It's cold and lately I seem to be counting the hours of the day till 6pm when we close for the day! I'm tired, and ready for a break! How is everyone??!! I don't have time to read the last week (or 2) posts, so how 'bout a mini update? I promise to check the board tomorrow! Me... the season closing has me up about 20lbs  I'm due for an 'adjustment' on my band, gonna go in the next week or 2, hopefully that will get me back on track. Peter is facing a 'serious' health issue right now (we're waiting for bone marrow biopsy results) so that has sent me into some of my old emotional eating habits, I'm hoping that restriction will slap some sense back into me. We hope to have the results some time this week, it's the not knowing what we're facing that's making me crazy! We have a foreign exchange student with us, a girl from Germany. She and my youngest are in love , thank god he lives on campus in the Detroit area! She and I get along great, it's nice having a girl around (after raising 4 boys)! We're gonna have a 'spa day' this saturday, hair, nails, facials I'm looking forward to it! Well, that's my mini update for  you all! Talk to ya tomorrow! Hope

Hope, It is nice seeing you posting again! I sure missed being able to make the outing weekend with you all but heard those that came had a great time! I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers hoping for the best results possible, I agree waiting stinks no matter what the reason! Not much going on here just waiting to get back in our home from the housefire! We keep getting back a week at a time, hopefully this next weekend will be the last! Whereabouts in Germany is your exchange student from? I was in Darmstadt, Germany for 2 years and I absolutely loved it! Would love to visit there again someday! Will you be able to make the clothing exchange? May be someone in the area could carpool and you all could come together!  Well I hope that your season coming to an end brings you some quiet time and some me time for you to enjoy! I don't think I will make the next exchange (what is the date and where is it?), we're supposed to go to Phoeniz for KOA convention right after closing (depends on the test results, will he be getting treatments, etc), I was really lloking forward to that trip, we'll see. I hope to make it to any in Nov, Dec...till March so I can meet everyone

My girl Kati is from just  north of Hamburg Germany , can't remember the name of the town. Why did you live in Germany, was your hubby (or you) in the military?? Mom & I were there for a month last year, we toured the Black Forest and visited family in Marburg. It was Spring and a beautiful time of year! Later, Hope

The clothing exchange is October 27th from 11-2 @ Irvington Community School in Indianapolis My ex-husband was stationed in Germany. We were there from Dec 1988- Nov 1990. It was beautiful, I loved it there! I was able to travel and go to Spain, France, Holland and all over Germany, also the Czech border it was awesome! There will be other clothing exchanges that hopefully we will be able to meet you at. The next one after this one should be sometime in January! Hope all goes well with your husbands tests results!
