Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Everybody!  I have to be at work at the Museum this morning at 7:30 for the "free day" so I'll be busy all day!  Sherri, I hope Ryans went wel yesterday, I am sorry I could't make it because I got off at 5:30, but I would have loved to see you guys!  So everything is going good so far today, and I hope everyone has a good one.  And if it's your day off, Enjoy!

Happy surgery day to me!!! I am so glad that today has finally arrived! Other than the stuff I need for my shower/ after shower (toothbrush/paste, hairbrush, etc), I am all packed up! I'm going to cover my wound pretty soon and start shaving my legs & jump in the shower. Tiffany is going to come over a little early. I want her to take pics of my belly for me. We'll be leaving to head for St. V's ~10 (gotta be there at 11, surgery is at 12:30). Gail & Janeen..thank you so much for the ecards! That was very sweet of both of you!  Ellen...thank you for my wonderful Christmas goodies!! My Secret Elf...again, thank you for my card & puzzle book. Both we so thoughtful & appreciated!!! I had a wonderful time last night!  Floyd & Brenda..as always, love seeing you guys. Tiffany will be giving you a call this afternoon. It'll probably be ~5.  Scott..It was good seeing you again! Congrats on your 8...9 days! Angie...I could have jumped for joy seeing you! I am so tickled that you made it. Now girl, don't let another year pass before I see you again!! Ellen & Dana...dear friends. Bill & I, both,  do enjoy the gift of gab we all seem to possess when we get together! Tiffany will be calling you also this afternoon (~5). Friends of mine & Bills, Jeanie & Dennis, were also able to join us last night. Thank you my OH family for making them feel so comfortable. I know Jeanie really enjoyed herself. Dennis did after he could watch some of the ...yuckk...football. (no...I'm not a fan of the sport). Vicki & Shanna..missed you guys! Sorry that you couldn't make it. I hope all is well. Hopefully we'll see you at the next event! Well..time for me to get busy cleaning up. I'll see you all on here probably Wednesday or Thursday. GOOD MORNING EVERYONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!! Hope everyone had a terrific weekend and kept warm.........We pretty much stayed inside most of the weekend watching movies and playing xbox.........KIDS loved that........They are out of school today so they are really excited about that of course lol :) Does anyone have any ideas on helping my 10 yr old get his multiplication tables down........he is really struggling this year and his teacher and Ive discussed possibly needing a Tutor for him........hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Heather, Check at a book store (like Borders) or the book department in Target or WalMart. There are alot of books out there geared for helping kids learn their multiplications (as well as other lessons). The only 'trick' that really stayed in my mind when it comes to multiplication is for the 9's.  9x1=9 9x2=18, 1+8 =9 9x3=27, 2+7=9 It continues this way all the way to 9x10 (9+0=9 Since he likes to play xbox, see if they have a learning game available. My grandson loves his VSmile and this past Christmas, we got all the grandkids a Smart Cycle with cartridges geared for each of their ages. There are lots of electronical learning tools available...and kids do love their electronics! If you do have to get a tutor, ask his teacher if there is a recent past student he/she would recommend. They would probably do better than a high schooler or older. Let's face it, as we get older, we don't remember what made it all click for us, it just does. Someone who is only 1-2 years older than your son would have a better chance of remembering what it took for them to get it...and a better chance of being able to explain it in a way that your son 'gets'. I was a tutor through-out and after college but I think I'd fail miserably to try to help a 10 yr older out...probably anyone else too since I haven't tutored for over 15 years..lol Sherri

Sherri, you're in my thoughts today! Today, I have to get my B12 shot. Oh fun. Hehe. Run a couple of other errands too. Everyone else is still sleeping this morning. It's kind of peaceful to be up by myself in the apartment. Yesterday I worked at Sears, and came home to a cleaned up place and dinner ready. Sweet. I can get used to this. 

Good Morning Everybody!! Did I ever mention how much i LOVE this forum? I lurk alot!! but i love reading everybody's stories, how they got to where they are etc!
This weekend was wonderful to me. I was blessed to have my husband home Thursday, Friday AND the weekend! We had an addition to the family, an English Bulldog named Sheba, she is 6.5 yrs old. And shes really adora-bull!!
I start back to work tomorrow, however im going to need my schedule altered a bit because I can't work days for a little while, so i'll have to get some nights in, instead. (my boss closes up shop for a month every year. she owns a cafe here in newburgh you guys might have heard of it if you come by here, Cafe Newburgh)

Good Morning everyone. I did not make it last night, unfortunately.I had one of the kids call of at work last night.SO i wanted to stay to help. (i also needed the hours.)I was kind of bummed, but it would of all been overtime.  Tyler was up early downloading transformers on his IPOD. WHich is cool. I am gonna watch it when I go to the GYm today.I do not go in until 3, so I get to hang out for a bit with the kids. Terry went into work for a couple hours. But he should be back soon

Good Luck SHerry.....Hope all goes well, can't wait to see that "new" tummy! I have to get going. I haven't lost in a while. I am still swollen from getting sick on Saturday. Mornin' (I think) my Indiana Posse! Lordy be I am getting too old to stay up all night and play games with the boys!  LOL  My 16 yo had 2 buddies stay over last night and we played board games till 4AM and I was making SF peanut butter cookies at midnight! But boy we had a great time...we played "you might be a redneck if..." (of course I WAS the BIGGEST REDNECK)  LOL and we also played Are you smarter than a 5th grader". OMG we had so much fun.   Now I have a cup of coffee in me and I am ready to go!  LOL I did talk to Angie this morning...she left Missouri at 2:30AM to be here ...she is having surgery tomorrow . keep her in y'alls prayers...she has to get a trachea in and she is worried about it...she will be staying here in Indy for a month after surgery...the hospital is putting them  up in an apartment...her hubby will be here with her and they are finding him some odd jobs to get by while they are  here. Mark and I will be going down to see them ...so maybe we can meet up with some of y'all for late supper or just some coffee. Not sure when it will be but will keep in touch with y'all!
