Did you hear me shouting for joy from the southern part of the state?!  I did!  Aubrey was scheduled for her c-section on Tuesday the 25th. Apparently she had started having contractions around noon on Monday, but thought they were Braxton Hicks so tried to wait them out......not! I got home from work at 5:00 and we went to get a bite of dinner. I asked her if she was ok and she said yes...just the usual cramping. When we got home Dale decided to time them and after about an hour he told me to get my shower and he would put the bags in the car....it was time. We got to the hospital and after 24 more hours of labor...Braedyn arrived. Aubrey was unbelievable! 7 pushes and he was out...no screaming, crying, or swearing......just a huge sigh of relief and smile. He did tear her a bit, but she was oblivious. He had to stay in the nursery during her stay there because he had a blood bacteria (septic) and was on IV's, feeding tube, etc....But now everyone is home and he is just perfect. I am so proud of Aubrey.....she put grown women to shame in that delivery room and is a great mom. Sixteen is still too young...but after seeing him, she knows it will all be ok!  Thank you to all you OH ers for your support and well wishes! I showed them to her and she was very touched. She knows what this board means to me after going to the support meeting.  New pics are on my profile! And to all you grandmas.......you are right! There is nothing like this feeling! They need to bottle it...talk about a money maker!

LeeAnn, Congrats! I am definately one of those who thinks there is nothing like being a grandparent!  Audrey... First of all, congrats. Now, breathe deep and know that everything is going to be just fine. Braedyn has 10 fingers and 10 toes..yes? Enjoy this time..but at the same time, start planning for the rest of your lives. I can tell that you have a very supportive mother and I really believe that she will totally agree with what I am about to tell you. 16 is young...but you have already showed more maturity than many far older than yourself posess. Finish High School and go to college..even if it's just a 2 year trade school. That education is going to be essential for getting the best start for you and Braedyn. Yes. it will be hard many, many times...but Audrey, it will be well worth it. I was older than you when I had my kids and went to school. I was 25...they were 5 and 3. I was divorced..so a single parent. It was so hard to pick up the kids, come home, fix dinner, give baths, spend time with them, put them to bed..and THEN crack the books open and study..but I did it with a 3.8 GPA..and you can too! Keep your chin up. Things will work out and you have a beautiful little son to give you strength and encouragement. Congrats Mommy.... Sherri

Congratulations on becoming a Grandma. I am waiting for that moment to happen to me but our DS and *****n't seem to understand that!! They are happy with just the 2 of them right now. If they were our age they would understand what we feel. lol Babies are for lots of lovin' that's for sure.

Aubrey read all the posts and says Thank-you. She is doing so well....just got up from a four hour nap! Grandma took a feeding and gave him a bath and fresh pj's since we had the time to be together. Thanks to all the well wishers!
