Crazy ???

Do they make you take off your sculptured nails for surgery? or just the polish? Thanks

I guess every place could be different but I just had to remove the polish.

You should probably check with your surgeon's office.  I thought the reason you had to remove polish was so they could watch for changes in the nail coloring (turning blue from lack of oxygen, etc).  I could be wrong though.

They told me that polish had to be removed or very light polish.  I would just ask Heather or your scheduler when she calls back to set up your pre op testing in case it has changed.

I didn't ask.  I just took them off.  I thought it was better to be safe than sorry.  I had them put back on after 3 months. Hope this helps. Jacqui

Mine had to be clear polish... I guess dark polish interferes with the oxygen reader they put on your finger..  Linda Kay

I just had my pre-op class last week and they said the nails are fine. only make sure the polish is a light color.

They just covered that in the nut class.  You can keep them, but clear polish. Kim
