My 6 month doctor visit....
I had my 6 month visit with Dr. Stanish this afternoon. It went well and he even solved the problem with the medication from the kidney doctor. I told Holly his PA that my energy level was doing down and she came to the conclusion that it could be my potassium since I am taking the water pill from the kidney doctor but no one could find a potassium chloride in liquid that I could take for the kidneys. So they think that the water pill was taking the potassium and since I wasn't getting any from the other medication that is the problem. I have to get some more blood work and go back to see him in a month. He wants to know how I am doing. I talked to him about things going around in my head and the changes and so he wants me to see a counselor. I had plans to do that anyway. He told me that I am right on target for the weight loss. I told him that I thought that I should be losing more and he told me that for my age (I am older now!) I am doing perfect. He told me not to expect so much from myself. We had such a nice and laid back talk. I told him that I had to get my new slacks in a size 8-10. He laughed when I told him I though they ran big but I didn't care and I was taking the size and running with it. So now the kidney doctor just called and he got a liquid potassium chloride for my kidney problem and so I can get that tonight and then get his blood work in a couple of weeks. So all in all it was a very productive day. One part of my iron level is down a bit but not much and nothing to worry about. So~so far so good. I am a happy girl now.

Gail, I am not sure what one I am going to be on. The pharmacist called me yesterday and said that she had ordered it. She strongly suggested to me to get it flavored since she told me that it being liquid potassium it was not going to be good. She told me that she thought that the grape flavor would be the best since it is a stronger flavoring. So that is what I am going with. I am assuming (and we all know what happens to us when we assume) it is not the orange flavor. Thanks for the kind words. Sending you love and hugs.

I am happy with how the visit went. I can't beleive that I was dreading it so much. I had such a good and laid back visit with Dr. Stanish and with his PA Holly too.
I am not looking forward to the liquid potassium but I am sure that I have done and will do worse things in life. If that is the worse thing that I have to do I will have had a blessed life. I don't have to like it I just have to DO IT!!!
The pants are the only 8-10's that fit this body of mine. I am still in womans 18-20 tops but I think the girls are going to be here with me until the day I die!! I just wish they would do some more shrinking or maybe I should say sagging!!!!!
