Surgery Date

Hello all, I am new to this website but usually log on every day to read everyon'e posts...I just figured out that there is a forum just for those of us in Indiana.  I started this whole WLS journey January 28, 2008.  I was approved in mid March.  I just got the call from Dr. Inman's office yesterday with my surgery date.  July 15, 2008.  I was excited and dissappointed at the same time. Delighted that I have an actual date but somewhat dissappointed that I have to wait 3 months...i didn't think it would be that long...I had myself psyched up for June but never imagined it would be July.  Guess I will just have to be patient and wait.  I am so anxious...and am glad that I have somewhere (website) to go for guidance on this journey. Can't wait to be on the loser's bench with all of you.

Welcome to the board and congratulations on your date.  The time will be here before you know it.  Do you know there are support meetings in Terre Haute.  Hope to meet you there

Hello- Welcome to the board! My sister and step-mom have both had wls and they live in Sullivan! My Aunt has too and she lives in Fairbanks! Small world! Hello, and welcome to the board for Hoosiers Losers. We have a lot of fun on this board. There always seems to be something going on somewhere. Please feel free to share often so we can get to know you too. I think that a July date is wonderful since it is your Independence Day!! Your day of the start of your new and wonderful life~your rebirthday. The time between now and July is going to go so fast your eyes are going to roll!   

Welcome to the Hoosier Losers!! July will be here before you know it.  I got my date on Dec 28, and it was to be April 2.  That seemed like an eternity, especially when I got bronchitis at the beginning of the month, and my surgery got postponed! I'm down to 5 more days, and ready.  Stay well this summer, and post/read here as much as you can...this is the best resource and support I've found! The support groups are great, and I've gone to three now, but since they are just once a month I think this is the best spot to be.

Everyone is so encouraging...I started my WLS journey the end of January so I guess I am pretty much on schedule.  Guess I just need to be patient...I am finding this website to be great...It is nice to be able to go somewhere and talk about my journey....with people who all have the same goal...thanks again for the encouragement!!!!
