17 Vials of Blood!!!!!

Yep, you read right.....That is what the pulled out of me this morning for my 1 year bloodwork. I made it to vial 15 before I went fuzzy...... I knew I would be a little off because of fasting....so I took my protein drink to my Moms office where she is an RN for a Physician...... Needless to say I ended up with orange juice in the Lab......and white as a sheet.....got the ringing in my ears and told them to hurry up and finish...... Hope everything comes out with good levels. Went back to my Moms office and drank my protein, and recouped for a bit. Now to get vitamins down and increase my fluids.  Off to take it easy for a bit. Love and Hugs, Holly

Yeah, I think some of them get joy in draining the life out of us!!!!!

Did they leave ya any?LOL! Hope all is well! Let me know how they turned out? Do you have a copy of what all they checked?My doc NEVER takes that much and I see ALOT of people saying 12-15, yours is the most I have seen, though! Any info, would be great! Hugz Dawn

Not sure now what all was on there, but it filled a full sheet of paper...... I still feel blah, but working on my fluids..... I should know the results on Monday, my GP will get a copy and that is where my Mom works.....so hoping everything comes out good. I know they did Vitamins A, B12, K, PreAlbumin, Selenium, Thyroid, Folate, CMC, and a zillion others!!!!!!  My Mom can tell me on Monday.....so more info to come next week.

Holly, I think for my 3 yr, they took 12 vials..and then get this...the med lab called a few days later to let me know that the truck transporting most of them was STOLEN! I had to go back in and have those pulled again! You would think that they would protect their trucks...and our blood...a bit better than that!?!?! Good luck on your results! Sherri

Sherri, I hope my results come back well.....and if not I guess I have homework to do , huh? Why would someone want a truck full of blood?  Sometimes I really wonder about people.....they should carry that stuff around like they do a Brinks truck!!!!!!!  I will crap if I have to do that over again!!!!!!!

Holly, sometimes I wonder if they just put a spout in the arm and hold it over a barrel. I hope that you are feeling better. At least you know he is checking for just about everything. Better safe than sorry. Take it easy today.

LOL When Dr. C checked my labs at 6 months because of my issues she crossed off half the stuff on the sheet and they took 8 or 9 tubes and then I had to have them redrawn because they ran the WRONG labs. UGH.
