You only have one life to live, but if lived right, it's the only one you need!
Good morning everyone!
I really enjoyed dinner last night. Thank you to all who came. Gail..thank you so much for my goodie bag! I thought it was hilarious how Bill's friend Fred had to smell all the purties! LOL! Tiffany had wanted to come but was unable to so she's coming over today so we can take her out for lunch. Kinda as a 'thank you'. That kid sure has done alot for me & Bill in the past 7 months so this is a celebration for her as much as it is for us for it to all be behind us as much as possible. Since the plastics in September, I have lost 31 lbs (was expected to lose ~15) and 21.5" (stomach is still swollen though..so not final lost yet) for a total of 210 lbs LOST and 134 inches LOST since my RNY! Woo-hoo! I use to have an inverted hourglass shape...55-62-57..Now, even though the girls need help & my tummy is still swollen, the hourglass is FINALLY shaped correctly with my waist being smaller than the other two numbers!!
Shanna...I felt like doing stuff when I came home too..for about 2 weeks. And then I crashed! I had no energy what-so-ever. That got better after a few weeks too. Just don't over-do it..and let someone else do your heavy lifting. I know...words for me to live by right now too..lol! It's alot easier to eat more of soup than you can of something with more substance. After I could start introducing protein to my pouch, I'd be able to eat 3 oz of mashed potatoes & soup (I'd put the soup on the potatoes like it was gravy...cream of mushroom was really good like this)..but I'd be lucky to get in 1-2 oz of meat. Congrats on being a loser! I just know you are going to do terrific!
Tomorrow is the big day! Honestly, I don't know how I feel about it. I got pretty use to being home with Bill..you know? I'm dreading the lack of energy...the still having some pain..the still having diarrhea...shoot... having to get up early! But then again, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and getting back in the swing of things...even if all I'll be doing for awhile will be all at my desk. I have to get my mind thinking analytically again instead of medically. I have to start DOING reports intead of teaching Tiffany how to use the programs you do reports in. One thing for sure, tomorrow, I will be exhausted! It's a good thing there isn't much on TV on Mondays anyway! LOL! Gail...if my eyes need a break from staring at the pc monitor or my brain needs a break from dealing with IT (to get all my passwords reset), I'll give you a ring! I won't be able to do our usualy marathon talks, but I think a few minutes will be a nice break in the day! LOL! I'll let you all know how it goes Tuesday morning.
I hope you all enjoy the rest of today...even if you have to work like LaChelle!

Shanna.. You might want to invest in some Tylenol Tablets/caplets. Capsules just don't dissolve in me so I get no use of them at all. Sherri
