What a week!
First, I want to thank Gail, Janene, and LaChelle for the wonderful e-cards. They sure have brightened my week!
It has been a little rough trying to get back into the swing of things at work. I know..at least I'm off today! LOL! Actually, I'm hoping maybe being off today..even if it is for a colonoscopy...will help pull me through tomorrow. Each day has been getting progressively harder. I know that this will improve but until it does, I just hope & pray I have the strength!
For starters..it is 'freeze my butt off' cold by my desk!! I ordered a new coat & hoodie bacause the ones I have are way too big and I can feel the cold air blowing on my neck! Brrrrr!!!! I've been fighting with every computer program I have to get into so that has been frustrating. The training department dumped a bunch of new computer based training on us while I was gone so I went from 100% complete to 76%..it is frowned on for you to get lower than 95% on general stuff and you are to be at 100% for safety stuff..most of what was added is safety stuff. My boss, trying to be a sweetheart, gave me a desk project to work on. I wish he'd given me this week to try to reacclimate first..but oh well. So..I've also been VERY sleepy. Not a good thing when everything you need to do involves staring at a computer monitor! I've also been trying to just do Tylenol during the day. So..I've been sore, cold, and very, very sleepy. I'm still waiting for that burst of energy to kick in.
Anyway..I know many of you were wondering how it was going being back to work. It's rough. I know it'll get better...but right now, it's rough. I'm just very, very lucky to have an understanding boss.

Sherri,
Hang in there sweetie! I know how rough it is to get back into the swing of things in the norm of life let alone all you have been thru. Even now...every week I am stronger and better than the week before. I have regained about all my feeling in my tummy so no more "vacant" feelings :o) I am so pleased with my surgery results and oddly enough I think I look even better since putting on about 8 pounds over the holidays...lol go figure. After the swelling from plastics is pretty well gone I think the extra pounds just filled in nicely and my skin is so much smoother. I still battle daily the grazing and I am sure I will do so always :o) I am so happy at this size and make sure that I wear my jeans every 3~4 days to make sure I stay in this range.
Hope the rest of this week just flies by for you and you regain more energy each day!

Hi Sherri,
Hope the "nap" from the colonoscopy helps to revitalize you! I know it is very hard going back to work after such a long time off and for such a physically draining reason, but your strength will come back gradually. Just remember to be easy on yourself in the evenings and on weekends until you are back up to par!
Cindy
Sherri, I've wondered this week how you were doing. Sorry it's been a tough week for you. Hope you do find out what is causing your problems with the testing today. You can use a break from the stress of the unknown.
I keep a sweater and a hooded sweatshirt at work because it gets so cold from the air. If it weren't for people thinking me crazy I'd probably wear my thermals in year round. Take it easy on yourself, you have to adjust to getting back in the swing of things. But you seem to go at full tilt and meet your challenges head on. Get some rest this weekend, do something fun!

Sherri, I am praying that things start going better for you. I know you have to be so very tired but know that this soon will pass. Things will get better soon and then we know that there is going to be no stopping our Sherri. I am glad that your boss is understanding since that helps so much. I am keeping you in my prayers not only for the colonoscopy today but for the strength and energy returning to you. I am sending love and hugs to you, my friend.
