Amy
Thank you Gail. The next time you talk to Amy, please tell her I'm thinking about her. I remember very well not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings but hurting too bad to be able to concentrate to talk on the phone even. I hope she is able to get some rest and is feeling better soon. Please advise her to walk as much as she possibly can stand. That will help her to feel better quicker. Alot of the time the pain that is felt is from all that gas they use to bloat up your innerds..walking helps you to toot it out. And it is much better out than in! Sherri

Gail, thanks for posting for me!! I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings...I was in a TON of pain Thursday morning, and struggling to stay awake between the pain meds and anti nausea drugs. Since I'm allergic to Vicodin, there were several different pain meds they were trying me on, to see what helped the most. I did get a lot of walking in, just over 2 miles between 11:30pm Wednesday night and noon Friday, and I was discharged at 3:30 Friday afternoon!
Today's been my first full day adapting to the new life, and getting food in is a struggle. Thankfully, I knew to expect that between all of you and my dad's experiences. Dad came over and helped me create a spreadsheet for all my meds, to spread them out throughout the day, and that will be a huge help tomorrow. Liquids, I'm doing OK...it's almost 5pm and I've got 40 ounces in, 32 of those are the protein supplement. I've gone on 3 walks around the neighborhood today too, enjoying the sunny but cool temps!
I hope Wendy was able to go home today, I know she was hoping to as well. Thanks for all the support and well wishes...it means a lot!

Amy,
I think people on here understand and would love for you to start your journey. Just knowing you are alright is all we need to know. As, Sherri has said in the past we update and leave it up to the New Hoosier Loser, about calls or visits.
Wow, out walking already, thats a "WOW" moment.
Glad you are back. love ya,
Hugs & Blessings, Gail

Amy,
So glad you are doing well. Getting all your meds in and fluids in are the hardest! I bought a big pill box at Walmart. It has each day and then it is split up into 4 times a day...if I didn't have that, I wouldn't get all my meds in! I just fill it once a week and am done.
Welcome to the Loser's Bench!!!
