How long was your hospital stay

Just wondering how long your hospital stay was. What day did you go in on and what day did you come home? What procedure did you have?

Seems the answer varied a lot so I just wanted to see what your experience was like.

I went in on Thursday morning, and was released on Sunday afternoon, only because I didn't have a ride home until then. I could have been released on Saturday morning if I had a ride then. I had Lap RNY. Of course my dr is very honest, and will keep you as long as he needs to....he doesn't want to rush you home if he doesn't think you can manage it then.

At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

You only have one life to live, but if lived right, it's the only one you need!

I had the lap RNY as well. I went in on Monday, November 19, and went home Tuesday, November 20 in the evening. I did really well, and had my mom to help me out at home, so he let me leave the next day.

I went in on Tuesday and was released on Friday. Dr. Cacucci typically only keeps you 48 hours but I was having problems keeping food down.

48 hours sounds good. I was kind of suprised that some people have been in for 24 hours or less. I am in no hurry to rush home, that is if I ever get a date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went in on wednesday..surgery at 426 pm. I was released on saturday at 3:30 pm.I had the first night was really bad because the liquid dilauded was making me very ill, so they had to tweak my pain meds. Shanna

Went in on Weds at 8:30am for a 10:30am surgery (lapRNY) and was released on Friday - I was home by dinner but could have been out of there earlier if the doc made his rounds earlier in the day...I felt fine.

Went in on Thursday and went home on Sunday. I was ready on Saturday physically, but I was glad for the extra night (I have two small kids) and the days was what my surgeon required.

I went in on Friday and left on Sunday. I could've left on Saturday but live way far away so he kept me a day longer. We actually got a hotel room and stayed that Sunday night in Indy so we'd have more time the next day to stop and walk around. I was shocked at how good I felt. My recoup was nothing like I thought it'd be.
