Hello all,... how are you doing? We have had a busy week. Guess who's home though,... yes,... my son Mikey. He was discharged on Sunday, and we brought him home. Insurance ran out of days, and Medicaid denied the stay. We spent Monday getting him doctor's appointments, and re-enrolled into school.  Today should be a good day. It's payday. Hip Hip Hooray! Mike had a second interview at Sears. I certainly hope it works out. In the meantime, we're trying to line up a potential weekend babysitter, should he get the job. If anyone knows of someone in Terre Haute that would like to do this, let me know!

Linda, I am so glad that your Mikey is home. Your family remain in my prayers that things go well. I hope that you find your babysitter for the week ends and I hope that Mike gets the job. That would help your stress that is for sure. I am sending you love and hugs of happiness for you.

Good morning all. I hope that today is a good one for each and every one of us. It is the half way point to the week end and so let's all do a little happy dance. Just a little one since we want to save the big one for Friday!! Let's dance!!  Yesterday was a disaster for me. I went to the Excel seminar and I felt so STUPID!!!! I started out going good and learning so much and then after the break it kind of went down hill and just got worse. I am going to work on it here at home and I really want to to learn this for some reason. I don't think it is something that I am going to use if I get a job but you never know. I just do not get those formulas at all either. How many of you out there in WLS land know Excel, and was it hard for you learn? Just wondering. Today I am going to go help at the election office. I haven't been there for a week since I didn't feel to good. Now I feel better and thought that I would go today. My candidate is in town today and we are going to the hall to help get the people in and then I get to sit and listen. I am really hoping to meet someone!!!! Wish me luck that I do!! Today is suppose to be warmer, right around 60 today. I hope that the sun shines since I feel better when that sun is out!! I really can't wait until spring is here and not turning around and hiding! I was looking for a new swing the other day but I can't find one that I like. There isn't a big choice out there this year like there was when Bill got me my old one. I only saw one and I liked it but it was to big for the spot that I have for it. I am thinking of getting a glider like swing this time but can't see one of them either. What is this world coming to when you can't find a swing?! Bill has left for work already. He couldn't sleep and so when the clock went off I was trying to get him up since he wasn't in bed. I thought that he was out here in his recliner but he wasn't answering me when I was yelling for him. Here he was already gone. He said that he couldn't sleep so he left early and was planning on getting an early start on his day. He is working days for the rest of the week. He hates getting up so early but he is glad to get the day finished when he would be just getting started on his day normally. I like it when he works days. I like having him home during the evening and we seem like a family. That is so nice to me since my dad always worked days and evening was family dinner and just being together. I guess that is why it is so important to me to have evenings~I think of it as a family time.  I better get going. I am going to do some stuff around here before I leave for the campaign office. I hope that you all have a wonderful hump day today and I am sending humpy hugs and love to all.

Good morning Hoosierland!                I had my post about 1/2 way written and it all just blanked out on me?!?!  So..here I go again!    Linda...congrats on Mikey coming home! I hope everything goes smoothly with him being reaclimated at home & at school. When Jay went through all that, they didn't do very good at counseling how to maintain the disciplines they started so I hope the facility Mikey was at did a better job at that.             Brenda...I wish you lived closer! Recently, Tiffany (my daughter) was tested through a temporary agency for her Microsoft Office skills. She didn't know Office much at all 2 weeks before being tested...and what she did know was mainly Word. I taught her Excel & PowerPoint. On the test, she tested the best of the 3 programs..on Excel! Feel free to email me with questions. I have some Excel workbooks set up that can help you get an idea of the formulas, etc. Sometimes, it helps to see how they can be used. I use Excel alot at work..but also at home. Bill & I both do. For myself, I have one workbook just for my health stuff..body measurements, weight loss records, and walking distance since having my RNY, plus food/pain/BM journals at different times. I have another workbook for our medical expences for taxes with a worksheet for each of our 'medical' out of pocket, one for our combined dental, one for our combined pharmacy, and one that adds up all the individual worksheets totals together. Just remember to always start a formula with an equal sign (=) and then what you want to do...and for which cells you want it done to...for instance: =sum(a13:a19) will add up the numbers for A13 through A19. After you type in =sum(  you can just click on the cells you want to include then add a ) at the end to indicate that you are done. Email me...we'll have you proficient in Excel in no time! There are Excel Books for Dummies out there. It really is one program though that the more you use it, the better you will get at using it.    Today is going to be a very good day! I was SO tired when I got home yesterday that I ended up taking a 3 hour nap!! I was hoping to get rested enough to maybe get a little 'friendly' with Bill..hey, it's been since before my plastics in September! Once I woke up though, HE was asleep in his chair then! He didn't wake up & go to bed until after I laid down for the night. Hmmm..maybe tonight... And of course wth me napping so long, that meant I had trouble falling asleep & staying asleep last night. I woke up 20 minutes before the alarm went off so like Brenda's Bill, I just went ahead and got up and came to work too. Its great being able to flex time! Besides, my Bill has an appointment this afternoon so I was going to have to get out a little early anyway. I'm fixing to go get me a cup of 'why bother' ( decaf latte made with skim milk & sugar-free vanilla flavoring). Around 11, I'm going to pick up our Miss Gail and we're going to go enjoy Red Lobster for lunch. I was so tickled when I found out how close she lives to where I work!! I have a lunch buddy! Hey Gail...as it gets warmer (and my tummy is better, maybe I can come over & you & I take a nice walk in your neighborhood for lunch..? Coming in early...leaving early...and lunch with Gail in-between....Yep! What a terrific way to spend hump day! Oh..and I forgot to mention, my boss isn't here today! LOL! I found out yesterday that he'll be on vacation all next week too!                         You all have a good day today!! Sherri

Sherri, thanks so much for the help. I know that I am going to get it sooner or later. I was so confused with what he was saying yesterday. I think part of it was becoming so overwhelmed with it all at one time. I think that was both Jeri's and my problem.  I will be getting in contact with you soon. Thanks so much. I was sitting at the seminar yesterday thinking of the stuff we could put on it at the church. I was talking to Jeri and she was thinking the same thing. I am going to get this thing one way or another and it is not going to get the better of me. I am now on a quest and I will conquer this!!!!!

Good morning all.  Back to work for me today......I love Wednesdays normally, but they are still my Mondays for work! Oh well.  It could be worse I guess.   Hope everyone has a great day. I didn't get to go golfing yesterday........it was just still too cool, so we decided to go bowling instead.  We took my best friend's husband out for his birthday lunch, and just enjoyed visiting with each other.  We don't get to see each other as often as we used to, since she is now working at another casino over 1 1/2 hours away! Oh well. We had fun anyway.  Maybe another time real soon, once it warms up some more. Not much going on today here........just work and general stuff like that.  Gotta get ready and run.........I want to try to get an early out, and head to the gym. I don't get to go in the early mornings when I work at 9.  So I will try to go after work, or if I get out early.  Hope I get to. I can certainly tell a big difference when I don't go. Have a wonderful day! TTYL!

Good morning all! I am glad we are half way through the work week.  I dont have much going on today. Staying after work to grade the EMT students final class exam, 250 question. I feel for them. Not really! Linda~Glad you finally got to bring Mikey home.  I hope that things go well for you. Brenda~I know what you mean about that Excel....I hate it!  I have sit and tried to figure it out.  My billing lady tried to show me some things on it but I never could remember it, that was before I had to fire her.  Sherri~You are so smart to be able to figure out that Excel....lol Everyone have a great day

Good Morning Everyone! I had a couple of messages so thought I would pop on and say "hello!" Things out here are going pretty well at present time.  I feel all huge and uncomfortable in my pregnant body, but what can you do?  I only have a few weeks left til my due date, a month actually I guess, so we're definatly on the downward slope!   Everytime I look at my jeans I was wearing last summer, I can't imagine being able to get back into them- ever.   I didn't buy many maternity clothes- 1 pair of pants and 1 pair of shorts.  I can't see spending money on clothes I KNOW I won't be in long. Other than that I wear sweats and Chris's T-shrits, as mine are all too small to cover the watermelon in my belly :)  A couple of you had asked if we had chosen a name for the baby yet, and we haven't.  We have a middle name, but I've decided to wait to meet him to decide on a first name, since I just can't decide on what I want. Well, you all take care and have  a great day!
