GOOD MONDAY MORNING

Morning Everyone!

What a weird Mother's Day yesterda. No electricity for over 4 hrs. That kinda sucked. Especially since I had talked Matt and Gage into doing all kinds of extra house cleaning and it all required the use of electricity, hahaha!

My mom is still in Michigan with my grandfather. My step grandmother is in congestive heart faliure. At this point they are just doing manage care and trying to keep her as comfortable as possible. She's been going down hill for weeks now, this is just another step. I feel so sad for my grandfather as this will be the second wife he's had to bury. It makes me want to put a blanket of protection around his heart and hug him soooo tight. So basically I'm hanging around the house today waiting for the phone to ring. I'm not sure if I'll be able to the funeral or not as I really don't want to take Q (his to young) but I don't have a sitter for him and Matt's working 10+ hr shifts this week.

Next weekend is my birthday. Matt said yesterday he's taking me out to a nice resturant. One that I'll have to dress up for. I love how he tries to make me feel so special.

Wedding invitations will be sent out this Friday. I hope I managed to get everyone that wanted one. I'm so excited about this. August seems far away till you count up the days.

Gage did so good at swimming Saturday for Spring Games. He placed 3rd once and 2nd 3 times. He qualified to go to State Games June 6th. State Games are big deal.

Good morning all from the great state of Illinois!!!  For my mothers day present yesterday, we decided to go to my sister's house for the evening.  It rained on us all the way here, but it was nice to visit with her.  It has been almost 2 years since we last saw each other, and talk about surprised!  We went horseback riding, and I had so much fun.  I hadn't ridden since September of last year, and I felt so much better on the horse this time.  The horses really didn't complain this time either!  They always dreaded seeing me try to get on them before surgery. Hope everyone had a wonderful mothers day!  I really have had fun, but we will be leaving to head back to Indiana in a few hours.  I really was glad to get to visit with my sister and her family. Good luck to all those having surgery today.  And good luck as well to those just starting their journey.  Hang in there, its going to be a wild ride!  Take care, and I will post again later when we get home! Hi Everyone,  This is my first post here.  It's a good day.  The sun is shining.  I am three days from surgery and the Loser's Bench.  That's an honor I want.  On leave from my part time job.  One day from being on leave for my surgery.  I teach elementary children so I will be on leave until August.  I think I have everything at home to get me home and keep me for a day or two.  I'm really getting excited about finally having surgery.  I hope the sun shines Thursday too.  Even if I can only see it in the morning.  All of you have a great day.   Carol
