Wednesday..Good Morning!!

And my wonderful Secret Elf..thank you so much for the card and lovely gifts. It was very sweet of you.
I had my appointment yesterday with the gastroenternist. He said I was an 'interesting' case. LOL! As if WE didn't know that, huh?!? Some of my symptoms would indicate that one thing is the problem but other symptoms would point to something entirely different. So...he ordered bloodwork and scheduled a scope for June 3rd. The scope...he's doing an endo so he can check out the upper part of my intestines since they hadn't been looked at yet. While I'm out, he'll also check the last little bit of my colon...no prep needed though this round. If the bloodwork & scopes doesn't point to anything specific, he's going to order some more tests. I go back to see him in 6 weeks. I think he plans to have one test done after another (if the results come back negative for each) so that when I do go back, he'll know something for sure. He also changed the anti-spasm med to one that is taken 4 times a day instead of twice...so hopefully, will get that under control better. It'd be nice if he could do the complete scopes without the intestines flopping around on him like they did with Dr. Gupta..lol. So..while we didn't find out anything, it was a very encouraging visit since he does have some ideas and plans to stay right on it. We did discuss food/sweetner intollerences. Unfortunately, I have already tried omitting those things from my diet for at least 2 weeks at a time and saw no improvement durring that time. Oh..you all are going to love this...he said that MANY post-gastric bypasss patients have problems with diarrhea! I laughed and told him that I belong to a very large group of folks that had WLS and it is the opposite among our group. And what did he say? 'THAT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE STRICTLY ADHERING TO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO DO!' How's that for a pat on the back guys? So whenever you find yourself
, know that it is because you ARE doing what you are suppose to be doing!!! He usually sees people who aren't doing what they are suppose to be doing.
I did have some very good luck yesterday at the med-lab. They were able to get the bloodwork drawn with only one stick! Woo-hoo!
Bill usually takes me out to eat for my birthday...and usually to Red Lobster. Since we just went to Red Lobster for Mother's Day, we decided to go to Steak & Ale instead. Bill's mom Jean and her BF Bob joined us. The atmosphere was great. The food was terrific (guess what I'm having for lunch today..lol!). At the end of the meal, Bill & I had to go to the restroom. When we came back, we found out that Bob had paid the bill! So Bill got a birthday present too! LOL! I think they do steak & loster better than Red Lobster...and the price is about the same. Bob was impressed with how quick we got there since I took 465. He used to live on the southside (Jean & us live on the east side). He must have been taking 70 over..or Emerson. I heard him comment to Jean in the backseat of how quick we were getting there and she said 'yes, if you don't mind the interstate'. I take it she usually doesn't like 465..lol.
I'm not going to be able to meet anyone at Max & Erma's today. Dr. Bergman's office called Monday and switched my appointment to the 28th...still at 4:40. I guess she has to leave early today. So....Gail, lunch Friday? Annette...I'm sorry. I was really looking forward to seeing you!
Jodi...How about Kohl's or Meijers? oh and girl...happy late Birthday yourself! Lot's of us May flowers, huh?
Well..you all have a terrific day!

!!!Good Morning everyone!
I have been missing in action. My real estate career is in full swing now. I had orientation all last week. I am now cut loose. This is pretty exciting for me. The only draw back is I don't make any money until a house sells. For right now we live off of my husbands income so we aren't hurting because we are used to one income anyways.
I am looking forward to the clothing exchange. I do want to thank everyone for letting me host it. This is something I love to do.
I am currently down 26 pounds. Its amazing how I lose more weight if I get all my protein in then when I don't get my protein in. My husband even sees this. It is still hard for me to get all my protein in if I don't have an Isopure RTD each day. So last week my husband bought me 10 of them. I drink one a day.
Hope everyone is doing good.
Take Care
Robin
