Update on the flood situation....
Today, we started early. We found out from our insurance agent that we are not covered for flooding. He said that in Indiana, renters do not have the option to buy flood insurance. So we're out of luck. We were also told by the property manager of our complex to get as much stuff out as soon as possible, because what's left behind, they're just going to throw away in dumpsters. So we spent the morning finding a truck. WE spent the afternoon finding a dry place to take stuff too, and the evening and night packing and packing. Finally gave up when it got to storming again badly around 10pm. I was just too nervous to stay there.
We have lost alot of furniture. dressers, box springs, couch, love seat, bookshelves, computer desk. That's probably going to hit us the hardest. We have to be back first thing in the morning, so I'm going to head out for now. Thanks for the prayers, and well wishes and support. It isappreciated.
Linda
Dear Linda, Our thoughts & prayers are with you- that really stinks! You wonder why you pay INS. huh??? Anyway, I am sending you alittle something to help out, and wanting you to know that we are all here for you. The Slavation Army, Red Cross, Goodwill, and Caring Centers are good places to let them know your needs- they are usually full of resourses for furniture and more! I hope you documented everything you lost- even for your own knowledge! Get in touch with Jacqui, see can help you as well! Love you,
