Lisa,

I don't get on the Main board. Do you have any other information? What happened? Who is her surgeon? I know her family has to be scared senseless right now. I will keep them all in my thoughts & prayers.

Thank you so much for letting us know....

Sherri

This from the main board  the update says that she would be takin off the venilator at 130 today
One of the indiana losers posted this
My cousin, user name bnonte had surgery at St. Vincent's 11/13.  She did great, came out of surgery and recovery like a trooper, but then things turned bad. Had a kinked intestine - her surgeon (same one that did my RNY) was out for the weekend, so she got the dr. on call. The intestine had to be sectioned because it kept flipping, she tried tacking it down but it would just flip further down.  Things seemed fine then 5 days later she was having trouble breathing, so further tests revealed her bowel was leaking. Another surgery ... Dr. Diaz this time fixed her bowel, cleaned that up, but now she is still in ICU, her kidneys tried shutting down even though the infection was somewhat contained - she is in a concious sedation, has been "out of it" since last Wednesday night when this 2nd emergency surgery happened.  This has been an ordeal, she has 5 kids at home, 120 miles away. We are praying God is healing her and I believe he is, it's just going to be a long road.  I just wanted to update on her, she has lots of friends on this site and I haven't been able to post anything yet.  I guess these are the risks everyone who has been through this takes.  Has anybody had these kinds of complications? What was your experience months down the road? Is this going to mean years of problems? I know that is not something anyone can say for sure, just wanted some input.

sorry so long .....
thanks for listening!

I am praying for them.  Wow.  It's gotta be so hard having 5 kids and going thru this at christmas.  They are probably scared to death of losing their mommy.  Everyone please pray for them.  I asked her cousin "goodbye_cankles" to update us on the indiana board.

Remember our family members Peter and Hope in prayer too.

Thanks to God for all he does for us.  And for those of us with our health, Thank you Lord for your blessing.
