Good Morning!

Not much planned for today.  Church this morning and try and get the rest of the house cleaned.  I took the tree down on New Years Day and started deep cleaning, but didn't get finished up, started feeling bad on Thursday evening and felt out of sorts all day Friday.  Much better yesterday but decided it was a good excuse to be lazy so spent the day reading.  Finished two books, one I had almost done anyway, the other was a fast read.  The first book of a new Christine Dodd series.  Now I have to pay today for playing yesterday.

Of course with the reading yesterday, came the old habit of snacking.  Seems like I just fall back in to the old habits so easily.  But even after three years out, if I don't pay attention while I am eating I will take too big a bite or not chew thoroughly and pay the price.  Guess I'm one of those people who never learn and keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

I wish everyone a safe, warm peaceful day.

Lisa,

My mind is drawing a blank so how about Max & Erma's? We should be able to get there around 6 provided the traffic is ok. Max & Erma's is on the south-east side of the road (on the right if you are going from Clarion North toward St Vencent Carmel). It's in the parking lot of a strip center. Turn right/east on West Carmel (use to be 126th) which is the light BEFORE St. V's. If you get to St. V's, turn around and turn left at the first light you come to. You turn in right off of that into the strip center.

Anyone else care to join us?

Good morning everyone!

I've had such a hard time getting Brenda off my mind. It'll be good for me to go to Jean's & pack some more stuff up. Hopefully it will occupy my mind some. Every since Floyd called me yesterday morning, I feel like I've been a little bit Dazy. I think I'll be ok as soon as she's out of ICU but for now, it just has too many memories. I was so relieved that they were able to close her back up and not have to induce a coma. I wouldn't wish a bowel obstruction on my worse enemy..and certainly would not a dear friend.

Now...before anyone gets to thinking that it was because of the WLS, let me assure you that it wasn't...not really. What my GI told me was that in the majority of the cases to where the intestines twist and obstruct, it is because of scar tissure pressing down on it just right. It all depends on how fast the scar tissue grows and how exactly it is pushing down as to when, if at all, the intestines could twist up. Bill &I saw on one medical program that this guy who had this happen had a stomach surgery (not for weight loss) 20-25 years before. Up until I saw this GI, I kept being told that it was unknown what had caused mine. It makes sence for it to be scar tissue...especially for me since I've had several issues with scar tissue in the past.

So..I'm going to go over to Jean's and try to get more packed up. We're going to try to get everything out of there today that anyone wants (or that I can bring to the clothing exchange) so that Bill's sister can deal with the rest. I'm hoping it won't be toooo long of a day since I go back to work tomorrow. That is going to be rough enough after being off for ~3 weeks.

Well everyone...have a good day today!

Good morning all!

I am ready to get my day rolling I guess.  I am getting ready to jump in the shower and get ready for Church.  Then Marc and I will get to enjoy his day off together.  He usually always works on Sunday closing shift.  It will be nice to have him here with me.

I am working on putting the finishing touches on my resume and cover letter for a very good job lead that was given to me by two different people recently.  I am hoping and praying this is the place God wants me to work.  The only problem will be wardrobe.  It's a very classy place and I have no business attire for such an office since I have been losing weight.  Hopefully I will be able to find some things at the clothing exchange that I can work with and get some basic pieces that I can mix and match.  I really would like to have this job.

I am feeling better this morning.  Fever is finally gone.  So, whatever was "bugging" me probably caused the dehydration.  So, I am sure I will be my bouncy normal self again in no time.

If anyone gets word on Brenda, please share it with us.  I will be praying for her.

Hope you all have a blessed day!

Huge hugs, Tracy

Tracy,

I'll be bringing several large garbage bags full of 18/20, L/XL of Jean's clothes. Unfortunately, they aren't bagged as 'suits' since she had all shirts & jackets in one closet and all slacks in another but I do believe everything has a match. If that is a size you haven't passed up yet, these should be able to benefit you. Oh...and for an 83 yr old, she had a younger style than my mother does who is 20 yrs younger!

If Floyd calls me with more news, I'll be sure to post it. If I'm not at home, I'll call Gail & ask her to post it.

Sherri, that is the exact size I am right now.  That would be great and when I shrink out of it... I can bring it back to the exchange next time.  I will look forward to it even more now.  I hope you have a good day.  I know how emotional it is to do what you have to do.  But know that Jean loves you guys very much and is watching over you.

Thanks for keeping us informed on Brenda.  Tell Floyd we are all praying for them.

Huge hugs,
Tracy

Hi everybody!

I'm about to get dressed and pick my mom up for church, afterwards I will be working on my transcription for most of the day. My son will be going back to college today.  I love it when my kids are home, I don't think I'll ever get used to the empty nest! My daughter is working over by Wright State, so we don't get to see her as much...but she still comes & sees her mommy every 2-3 weeks!

Johnny is going to take the Christmas stuff up to the attic before he goes, then I'll have to work on the living room. There are pine needles all over the place!

Better get to it...hope everyone has a terrific day!
