Hello, and welcome, Susan!
What are you having done...revision from lap band to RNY, RNY to DS, or what? Whatever it is, all the best to you! Looking forward to hearing how everything is going.

Susan,
Welcome to the board!
I can well understand your mix of emothions right now. I had my RNY 9/04 and 6 months later I had to have a revision because my stoma kept perforating. I really don't know which walk to the OR was the most nerve wrecking. Both surgeries went well, and I'm sure yours will too.
Not to be nosey..wrong..you'll see, I can be very nosey (lol!)...but why are you having a revision? I know a few people who originally had a band who were revised to RNY. I also know of some who had the combo of band & RNY that had to have it revised & have the band removed. I think the stomaphyx is a terrific solution for those who have had an RNY and need some help staying on track.
Best of wishes!!

Susan,
I do live in Indy. We live on the east side near 38th & Shadeland. I don't go to the St. V's support groups...instead, I stay pretty active with the people here on this board. many of us have met in person and you couldn't ask for a better support system. So..instead of a monthly 2 hour group meeting, I have daily sessions here and usually at least once a week we get together with someone from the board. You are welcome to join in on anything you see posted...or if you'd like to get together sometime, just drop a line to me or here on the board. FYI...Bill & I are going to Four Seasons (on Shadeland between 16th & 21st) at about 4:30 or so for dinner tonight. lol. Join us if you'd like.
I have Yahoo messenger but I think you'd grow old waiting for me to answer you on there. I just don't get on it much these days. I do better at texting..lol.
I tried to read your profile but part of it got cut off in the top right section. Hmmm...it makes me wonder if mine does that. Check mine out and let me know..ok? From what I was able to read though it verifies what has been said so many times...weight loss surgery is not an easy cure all for obesity. You definately have to have the lifestyle change in place as well. I think it's alot easier when you have friends who understand that and you all try to stay on track together. Three's a charm, right? And especially when you have a host of friends to cheer you on!
