prayers needed please

I know I am new here, but I also know how awesome you girls are!  My great grandmother that is 82 yrs old was diagnosed with colon cancer about 6 months ago.  She is very frail and not a candidate for surgery so it is a definite thing that will kill her and of course we don't have a prognosis.  She was admitted to Clarian West tonite for pneumonia, dementia and the physicians believe her cancer has spread, but short of doing an MRI they can't find out for sure.  The family has opted not to do an MRI since it will not change her treatment or help her in anyway.  The goal is just to keep her comfortable and treat her pneumonia of course.  My grandmother (her daughter), was told by the doc tonite that if it were him, he would call the other daughter in from out of town as he thinks the end is near for her.  So, if you could please pray for peace for my grandma and her sister, they lost their dad just a little over a yr ago.  Also, my 10yr old son Jonathan has pneumonia and I am praying he mends well and doesn't get hospitalized over this.  Last time he had it he did.

Hope that Jonathan gets to feeling better very soon.  And no hospital stay is involved!! That pneumonia is harsh this year! 
The OH site prayer warriors are rallying behind you Sabrena!!  You are part of this wonderful family now... So don't worry about being new.   I am just over 4 months out from my surgery and I still feel "new". We were all in your shoes at one point anyway. 

Sabrena i totally understand what you and your family are going through.  My grandfather who is 82 also is going through the same things.  He started about four years ago with cancer of the pancreas and now it has spread to his lungs and liver.  He has been in and out of the hospital for the past four months with pneumonia and anemia.  He had a phone call from his doctor yesterday that his chest xray from Friday showed pneumonia again so I imagine he will be back in the hospital today or in the next couple of days for sure.

  My grandparents have also chosen to not have treatments or even see a cancer doctor. We live in a very small community and we don't really have a cancer doctor so he would have to be at Methodist and my grandma wants him close to home.   Its very hard to watch my grandfather be sick and my grandmother be worn out from caring for him.  I will pray for your family and hope that you all find peace with your situation.  I am struggling to find that peace myself.

Sabrena, Your family is in my prayers. I lost my mother to liver cancer and know what you are facing.  I hope you know you are considered part of our OH family now and we welcome you with open arms.  We are here for you.

I'm sorry your son is sick too, my son is recovering from pneumonia, so I know it's not easy on either of you.  Luckily we were able to stay out of the hospital and I hope the same for you.
