So impatient : Rant

I am 4 months into my 6 month supervised diet. I still am waiting on the surgeons office to call me and start that process. I know it hasn't been that long but it just feels like I will be waiting an eternity to start my new life.

Some days it's running up on me and some days time is a snail. I swear this is an emotional rollercoaster already. Maybe its just the not knowing what is next that drives me crazy

Sweetie i didnt do a 6mth diet,but it was still hard just waiting.
I personally felt waiting for an answer and a date was the hardest part of my whole journey.

Dr Mandelbaum has his orientations one day a month, if nothing has changed that is mid month so you will more than likely have your initial appointment mid April.  If you EVER feel the need to call the office for reassurance just call, they have never not for one second acted like I was bugging them and trust me I have called a lot.  When I was waiting for insurance approval I think I bugged the office ladies more than once a day.  I did send them a nice thank you afterwards lol.

I can totally relate to your impatience!!!
I am waiting for my letter of approval from the insurance company and I am getting antsy as heck, even tho i just found out today that i was approved....
i wished they would just hurry up and send me my approval letter!!!

Yay I finally got a call today from the office. I have orientation April 9th. She said that with a 30 day turn around for insurance approval that it usually is about 3 months from the orientation to surgery date. My insurance coordinator says she can approve me same day once she has the paperwork all in. We'll see. I can't wait!

I had my orientation with Dr M April 12th 2008 and surgery July 23rd 2008.  My insurance approval took 15 days from the day they recieved to the day they approved me.
