Breathe Pam!!  It might just be something very simple.  Don't fret.  I didn't get a call like that, but I know folks that have.  In some cases, it was as simple as having to repeat a blood draw, or a shadow on an Xray causing a repeat to be needed.

I'm sure all will be well.  If it was something serious, they wouldn't have left a message, trust me.  Be glad they are so thorough!  By the time this is over, they'll know if you have as much as an ingrown toenail.

Hugs, honey!!

Pammie,  consider yourself hugged!

It probably was just that something didnt turn out right and there was an error or they forgot something.  Sometimes they just ask for an additional blood draw to be sure that the initial tests rule out something.  It doesnt mean your surgery is on hold.

Think positive babes!!!  It will be ok.

Love ya,
Tracy

Dont fret, I'm sure things are gonna be fine.  Like the others said probably just something that just needs to be redone or something like that.  As Christie said just be glad they go through things so well. You will be glad they did.  I know in my case, I wish I would of had to have the gallbladder ultrasound even though I didnt have a gallbladder, would of saved me from my frustrations.  So just think positive until you get to talk to them.  HAPPY THOUGHTS HAPPY THOUGHTS HAPPY THOUGHTS

Pam sweetie, I know it's hard but try not to freak on us, okay?!  The exact same thing happened to me.  I believe Jodi is the NP that Drs. Gupta, Jones, Cacucci and Diaz share.  I don't remember if I put anything about this on my profile, but you're welcome to look   I know I posted on the Indiana board at that time looking for comfort, which I got.    When they tested my thyroid at St. V's (I have hypothyroidism/chronic anemia even before surgery), they said they were both extremely low and I had 1 week to bring these numbers up.  WTH!!!  Of course I freaked out because I had gone through all the necessary hoops.  Long story short, I went back to my PCP, they were able to retest me and everything worked out in the end.  I'll tell you it was a pretty stressful few days for me in the meantime.  I let myself get bent out of shape and essentially it really wasn't anything to worry about.  Your surgery will happen when it is supposed to.  You just have to believe it!  Hang in there honey, we're all rootin for ya!

Ok Pam, so did you find out anything yet? Any little scare this close to surgery is a "Freak Out". Just remember that you have got to focus positive and you will make things happen. It also works for the negative side of things. One of my favorite teaching is about positive energy and the power of being positive. Read the book, The Secret. It really speaks the truth.
Everything will be fine girl-friend.

Pam, I got a phone call the next day also.  They just wanted to know how I was treated and how things went during pre-op.  Hopefully that's all the phone call is about no since getting shook up over nothing yet !!!  It will be OK !!!
