Holiday World

It was so great to go to Holiday World yesterday.  Wonderful seeing Sherry, Floyd and Brenda and Lisa again and great to finally meet Jacqui (and husband Toby ) and LaChelle.  Guess I missed seeing the rest of you.

I did lots of rides including the Raven, Legend and Voyage roller coasters and the new water ride the Pilgrims Plunge.  The Voyage bout got the best of me--wow what a rough ride, my head and neck was hurting for awhile after that.

My brother said, "I can imagine doing all this walking back when I was smoking 2 packs a day" and I said "I cannot imagine doing it when I weighed 75 pounds more than I do now".  It was great knowing that I would probably fit in all the ride seats.

Bill & I had a great time at Holiday World (& area) too. I SO enjoyed seeing all of my OH buds! Lisa...it was fantastic gabbing with you sweetie! Terry... I couldn't help but to rub in to Tiffany that we had lunch with Toby Keith! LOL!!! She didn't get the pics that I sent her so I told her I had pictures to prove it! Hahaha! (FYI....Jacqui's hubby TROY reminds me & Terry VERY much of Toby..and to think, Troy sings too!!). After I download my pics, I'll put some in my profile here and on my PictureTrails.

I got a little bit of sun but not too much. We only rode the train ride. With my stomach..and with it only being 3 weeks since Bill's last eye procedure, we thought it was best to keep our activities to a low roar. Other than the park, we also went to the Candy Castle (got me a sporting new Christmas hat there!), Buffalo Run (got me a new purse that I LOVE!!), and discovered the town of Dale (loved the Iron Chef Restaurant!!). We plan to explore Dale more in future HW trips! The exploring is half of the fun. Some of those farms that we passed were so huge and georgeous that I told Bill that they really ought to be named...know what I mean?

When we got home, we had a lovely little gift. Tiffany & Rod and Tracy & kids all came and got our house cleaned up for us so I don't have to worry about it when I'm recouping. Isn't that sweet?? I did pitch in some and cleaned off two tables. When I tried to knock down the cob webs Bill decided that I was trying to do too much and he & I went to Olive Garden and left them to clean without me trying to pitch in.

Scott...thank you again for taking care of Lotus for us. And Brenda & Floyd..thank you for not minding Lotus being there. She's just laying around today so far. Not sure if she's just worn out or bored without CJ..lol!

Guys I had so much fun!  It was so wonderful to finally hug Terry's neck.  You don't know how thrilled I am that you guys came.  Troy got a kick out of all the "celebrity" shots.  He really needed an ego boost.  He's been down on himself a lot lately.  Our daughter and LaChelle's daughters really hit it off.  It was nice to have some kids play with Luci so Floyd and Brenda and Troy and I didn't have to entertain the princess all day!  I have to say I'm still pooped though.  After our event at church yesterday, I came home and took a three hour nap!  Then I went to bed at 9 and slept until 5:30 this morning.  I think I could sleep all day today too.  I surely have more energy than I did at 20 but I don't have the stamina!

I can't wait until we do it again next year!  We'll probably wait until the later part of June though.  It was almost too chilly to do much in Splashin' Safari.

One of Melissa's triplets ran a fever Sat night... broke out in a rash today and the Dr says it is Scarlet Fever!!! Everyone watch out for sore throat!!! Dont know where she picked it up but the Dr says scarlet Fever isnt as bad as it used to be... heck a germ is a germ isnt it??

Holy Moly Linda Kay!  It sounds so scary.  I will definitely say a prayer for the little one and for the others that they don't get it as well.  I know people leave Spencer County with lots of things but this is the first time I've heard of someone leaving with Scarlet Fever!  Not exactly the things we like to hear.

Oh I dont blame you or the trip we dont know what the incubation time is for this but if she had a fever Sat night she was probably contagious Sat.. and I know at least 24 hours after starting the antibiotics..

Poor baby climbed into bed with me Sat night burning up.. threw up the tylenol and slept fitfully the rest of the night.. she seemed to perk up a littlew Sunday but you could tell she was under the weather.
