I got the apples at Kroger's last night. They had them on sale for $1.97 for 5 lb bags. That was a great buy on them. I think the cheapest I have found them at before was $0.99/lb. They are gala's which dehydrate nicely. So...do I do them in just cinnamon or cinnamon & splenda? Oh..I got 5 bags which should make up a nice size bag of apple crisps. Call me or text me and let me know...k?

It looks like the server gods here at work today like me enough to let me reply to you. I THINK I brought ones with Splenda & Cinnamon on them. Usually, I did the Cinnamon only just for Gail since she can't do sweetners. I will probably have them all done by Sunday. I doubt I start preparing the apples until Friday. I just don't do a heck of a lot on a work night. Those 2-3 hours after I get home & before I go to bed fly by quick.
Are you off on Sunday? Maybe we could meet for dinner? The oriental restaurant on PenPike where we went before is back open and on Sundays, they'd have crab legs on the buffet. Sound good?

I think I saw where you were a St. V's post-op...right? If so, check on their allowable list for your stage. If you are through someone who didn't give you a list of what you can have when, I'd hold off on fruits until ~3 months post-op...and even longer for high citric ones (oranges, grapefruit, lemons, limes) since acidity can cause ulcers. If applesauce is ok...but 'fruits' aren't on the ok list, I would proceed cautiously. Myself, I don't like applesauce so I'd chew the heck out of it till my stomach would think I did have applesauce. That, or bake/nuke it with a little bit of cinnamon & splenda and have baked apple. Of course, no peel for either way.
And of course as always, if in doubt, contact your nut or surgeons nurse.
