Topic: Out of State Surgery
Hi all! I am wondering if my ins (BC/BS of Michigan) approves my surgery if I can go anywhere that I choose to have it done? I know we have "in Network & out of Network" but really do not know what that applies to. The reason thatI am asking is because of my age and the type WS surgery that I am looking at St. Vincents does not normally preform it......they have not told me no yet but am just looking for a back-up plan.

Topic: I need an Angel!
Hey all. I'm looking for an angel please for my surgery! Let me know if you're interested!!

The term “Angel" is used to describe someone who follows up on your status during your surgery period and relays information to and from your friends. The duties of an angel on this site consist, if you approve, of faxing to your surgeon's office a card with comments from your friends here, to be given to you while you're in the hospital.

Topic: Plastic Surgeon that takes Medicaid.
Need a tummy tuck or a breast reduction but have medicaid? Call UI's Plastic Surgery department!!! I went for a consult and they were great!!! It takes some time to get in for a consult so my advice to you is go before you get scheduled for Weight Loss Surgery, have the consult and come up with a plan of attack for after your weight loss. The doctor and I felt that we should do BOTH a tummy tuck & breast reduction after my plateu of weight loss once I have my Sleeve (VSG) surgery. I'm so excited to know that Medicaid (Anthem) will pay for these. Wonderful things!!

Dani, I know you can do this. Don't give up. Be tough and do it for yourself!!!! You deserve it. Don't let the whole pg issue derail you from the reason you made this decision in the first place. You are an amazing person and so strong. Don't ever give up. I am here for you if you ever need me. Just look me up on FB or text me. I will send you my number.
