Hey Sara,
The nutritionist just said to use Ice trays.. She also said to peel the banana before freezing it because it would make it a lot easier to use.
She didn't give me the calorie information but I could probably figure it out for ya.. about 86 calories for the milk, half a medium banana has approx 42 cals., pb has about 190 calories for 2 T. (WOW - I didn't even realize that) .... approx 250 calories per shake.
Hope this helps,
Katrina
Thanks for the info. I think I am going to try the peanut butter one tomorrow morning. I was caluculating the protein for that one and it would be 39 grams! I use Body Fortress and it has 23 grams per scoop, plus 8 for the milk and 8 for the peanut butter. That will really help with my protein for the day. Oh, and I have been using natural peanut butter but it surprisingly has 210 calories for 2 tbsp! I was shocked at that. Maybe I will just use 1 tbsp. Thanks again.
These sound really good, when I can add fruits back in, I'll be sure to try these. Orange zest is the orange stuff from the orange peel. You can buy a zester that takes it off for you, it's really fine and good for flavoring. But just the orange part and not the white. I'm sure you could use something else to take it off, a small grater to rub against it maybe? Thanks for the recipes, I'm always on the lookout for them =)

Thank you Katrina for posting these! I've been working on different protein shake ideas for a little project I'm doing and these gave me some things to explore--thank you!
I think for the orange shake, use soy light milk )vanilla flavor) and it will give you a more *creamsicle* taste.
Orange zest is grated orange peel. I believe you can find some dried orange zest in the spice isle at the super market.
