quit ya whinin Ryan..LOL I said my hernia was from an open wound and the hernia is what paid for my plastics..but you lap folks don't get these wonderful scar hernia's....Taryn did correct me and say..well some "can" get them and actually I know someone who did..but it wasn't as bad and was fixed laparoscopically.....just wanted to straighten that one out. anyway..glad it's an easy fix Ryan..I have watched them do it and it's not a biggie.(well at least not for me cause I was just standing there watching..lol..) anyway, they scope you then stretch it. As soon as you wake up you can tell a difference, it's immediate relief...I would come hold your hand but I have an appt too...call me when you feel up to it .. Brenda

Ouchie Ryan,im sure you have been in pain,it sucks on liquids but that is what the doc orders when theres a prob,let us no when ya get it resolved.................vickie

actually ladies there is no pain involved. Thank heavens. It's just kinda strange to think that I am starving and don't even feel it. I have only been able to stomach soups and such since fri.

So what is involved in fixing the problem. And Dr. Tom can't do it? At least he is recommending you to someone he trusts. Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Sara

He could but he is busy doing surgeries, helping others to develope the tool to lose weight. He has a very busy practice... tried calling recently. hard to get through. I have no qualms of seeing the other Doc just on Dr. Tom's recommendation alone. From how Dr Tom explained it there is an IV to calm you down and a spray for your throat. The spray will numb the throat and then a tube is inserted down your throat until they reach the stricture area, then a balloon that is in the tube is inflated. The inflation will stretch the stricture out and hopefully not come back. IF it does they do this again.
