I would like to get any and all information from members who had a surgical revision after a RNY in previous years.
I***** I had a RNY procedure at Ohio State University. I lost over 150 pounds and have kept it off until last year. Now I am regaining at a rapid rate. I noticed that many are having revisions yet I can't find any posts in the Kentucky forum.
I have two insurance plans, both Cigna PPO plans.

For Norton Bariatric Center in LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY call (502) 629-5243 or (502) 629-5626 for seminar information. Some individuals may receive the bypass or banding procedures. You can also go to the NortonBariatric.com website. Medicaid is paying for my surgery less than a month from today. I have Passport Health care Plan provided by the government. I only paid $300 out of pocket which I collected from family members. If you are interest, have your doctor to log a weight loss program from now to 6 months. Just to already have it on you medical records. Do not skip a month or your insurance can deny the request. You will have to obtain medical records about any medical conditions related to obesity. The application is a long process, so go see your doctor to see if he will give you a referral to visit a BARIATRIC Specailist/Surgeon if needed. Attending the seminar is the first step! So call the number above to register!

Have you noticed if you just have pain and gas when you drink hot liquid? I have known of people having problems with hot and cold.
Hopefully it is caffeine free coffee. I was told no caffeine at all, I do drink regular coffee now but I am over 3 years post op.
If you have problems with all liquids I would get back with the surgeon. You can do with out food but you must be able to stay hydrated. Hope you get it straightened out.

Topic: What Have I Done? Please Help!
I am 2 1/2 weeks post op RNY. Last week started with really bad back pain and gas. No matter what I did I could not get relief. Started having trouble getting water down. Saw surgeon and had EGD yesterday. Had stricture but not where he thought it would be. Today better but tried to drink coffee this am and terrible gas pains again. what have I done to myself? Am I going to have to live the rest of my life like this or does it get better? Really need some support right now really regretting having this surgery, would have just have soon stayed fat. Please help!

Congratulations on the engagement!! I'm so happy for you! And way to go on controlling the stress eating. I"m a stress eater, too! Just keep busy and keep moving!

Unfortunately life has been hectic and I haven't been on the board very often.
My son is graduating this year so we are busy with Prom and Graduation events.
I got engaged over Easter Weekend so my mind is spinning over wedding ideas for next summer.
Looking for a transfer with my job.........

I have been walking and eating well so thank god I haven't gained weight as I am usually a stress eater. Still trying to not use food to comfort myself! It is a battle everyday.
Hope everyone on here is doing well and getting ready for a wonderful summer!
