Hey Michelle congrats on your surgery :) My mom had the lap band done several years ago and she lost 149lbs and has kept it all off! She said that the meetings helped her and listening to your body. I am looking forward to possibly having the lap-band or realize band done, just don't know about the insurance side of things :). I will keep you in my prayers..... The best of luck to ya

As of today I was Dr. Husted's last patient to be seen. It was actually very sad and very disconcerting to see such a brilliant man have his hands tied by a money grubbing hospital. If he WAS a piece of crap person like some people on here claim...he would continue to perform the RNY and Lap-Band...like he's ALLOWED to do...and make his money without a conscience. I am very proud of him for being a man who stands by his convictions and ACTUALLY cares about his patients and their health. Good luck Dr. Husted and I'll be praying that everything works out for the better and this hard time will be behind you soon enough!!!

Hi Michelle!  Congratulations on your WLS.  I'm glad that you're feeliing pretty well being just two days post-op.  I also live in Louisville.  Are you going to come to the support group meetings at Norton?  I go to the one at Norton Suburban.  I would love to see you there!  We have both band and gastric bypass patients that attend (as well as pre-op information seekers)

I had my surgery several years ago by Dr. Bolar at Georgetown Hospital.  I have kept all off but 30 lbs ( I gained over the last couple of years) but I feel great!
I did have complications in the begining with infections and later a hernia,I recovered and did well. It was a little rough going at first but it's all a distant memory now.
I was a member previously but forgot my password.  I just wanted to see if anyone was around from the "old days"
