Best of luck to you.  he was my surgeon and I loved him.  I am 18 months post op now and happy with my surgery.  Hope you feel the same!

I had lap band surgery with Dr.Smith in September 09, he is a very nice doctor, I had no problems, I still see him every 6 weeks, he did a great job, office staff is great too.  Had my surgery at St. E. South.  My family doctor and my sister in law who works for St. E both had different surgeries with him and both liked him  a lot.  I would go with him again in a heartbeat.  No need to drive 50 miles for another doctor or hospital in my opinion.  He is very experienced in not only lapband/gastric but internal surgeries also.  Very competent.

I know that will be true...I had mine last spring break and then was off for 8 weeks and it was totally amazing! Great Observation Leslie!
