Some spouses simply can't handle having a confident partner.....it brings out their own insecurities....and that can make life miserable.
Maybe see if your Dr. office has a support group meeting on it.....or maybe talk to your Psych about it.....that is what we have them for.
Do your best to reassure him, but in the end.......as long as you are happy with you......that is all that matters. So many of us lived a depressing life before wls and there is no need to not enjoy life. Be happy now :)

Dont understand men because it doesnt matter if you love them that's why you married them. He should be proud to have a good looking wife, ask him to get on board and go to the gym or you just a walk in the mall not buying nothing. Hope it all works out.

Well I have been married 20 years this month and my weightloss seems to be the undoing of my marriage. I started this journey at 226 pounds with a 46 inch waist. Now I am at a 32 inch waist and my husband has become very jealous/possessive. He thinks everyone is looking at me and wants me to stop working out with my trainer. I have really enjoyed this journey and have come to learn many things about myself that I did not know. I now know that I am much stronger than I once thought and can enjoy doing things alone. I can enjoy going out and meeting new people. I can take care of myself and not be selfish. Why is it he can not be happy with the new me?

Brenda is a sweet heart for sure and she will go the extra mile to help you. I am sorry for her lost and pray that both she and her mother are at peace now.

Congratulations LeAnne! Good to see you are doing well. I'm also on the downward spiral and am glad I had the surgery. I had my 3 month anniversary right before Thanksgiving, but have lost since then, even THROUGH Thanksgiving! What a treat it was to not eat all that stuff! I remember times I felt like the turkey - stuffed and bloated. I'm so glad I'm past all that now. I pray never to repeat that problem.
