Topic: Liquid diet
Hi..Had the lap-band surgery 9 days ago and I am getting hungry.I am on a liquid diet but  it is such a boring diet and not filling to me. Can't wait till next week when I get some mush to eat
any one else out there dealing with this hunger?

Hi
Its been a long time since I have been on here. Just wanted to say hi  and all is well here. It has been about 6 years since my DS I have lost and kept off 230 lbs. I am now 185 lbs

Topic: officially on the losing side
Well I had surgery this past Monday the 10th. That whole day I was out of if more than what I anticipated from the anesthia. Then around 1am on Tuesday the gas broke loose and oh my goodness nothing i did worked, The nurse I had that night was a God send. She walked with me,cause her aides never showed up, and patted my back to try and help easy some of the gas pain. On Wednesday Dr. Steiner showed up and took out my drain and all I can say is Holy Cow!! In one quick swoop it was a relief and an oh my goodness feeling all at the same time. I've been out walking in the grocery stores with my husband which has helped quite a bit. Everyone that's not had this procedure done has asked me,"how much pain are you in" and "how bad are you hurting". They are surprised when I tell them that I'm feeling pretty good and only have pain in the biggest incision (which I expected). I guess they figured I would be laid up in bed with agony and excruciating pain. I go back for my follow up next friday and am anxious to get the staples removed. I want to thank all of you that have posted your journeys, your pains, discomforts and joys. All the posts have helped me along the way to where I am now and have prepared me in what to expect.
