Part will be on how fast the office submits your paper work, another part will be on how fast the insurance company takes to reply. Different lengths for different insurances. It is a PITA to say the least, but it shouldn't be very long. Take your diet log and stuff from your PCP by hand and also make a copy in case they lose it.

i have humana, im on my 4th month of supervised wieght lost eval by my primary care Dr, than i have to have to be cleared by a phyic Dr, anybody know how long it takes to have a surgery date after these 2 steps are completed? thanks

Sorry to see that the boards are so slow these days. Andrea, hope you are looking forward to a great new year with your upcoming surgery. After 2 1/2 years, it's hard to remember those early days. I do remember the protein shakes and a new found love for yogurt that stayed down well. I'll check back in a couple of days and see what else others may come up with. Congrats on your upcoming wls!

Kimmie, I drive 4 hours to see Dr. Tom and I love him. He did not do my lapband surgery but after the ones that did do it screwed me over I changed and started going to Dr. Tom.. I am not a band success story and I feel like it is mainly because of the start I got with another group.
I am revising to RNY and Dr. Tom is going to do it. I can't wait and I have all the faith in the world in him.
