Topic: RE: want to start over
Hi All,
Hope we all succeed. Unfortunately I am replying because of the need to start over. Never thought I would once again be struggling to re-lose old weight. However with my tool I can do it. The saw is rusty but with a little oil it will cut wood again.

Topic: RE: Jean McMillian's book Bandwagon
Just ordered mine last night. Even though I'm 2 1/2 yrs. out, I feel like I could use the refresher course. Looking forward to getting back to the basics with Jean. Have a good week!

I don't know, but the one time I met him (at a WLS surgery), he was extremely gung ho on the lap band (which I wouldn't have if they had offered it to me for free).
I believe Dr. Geller was going to start offering that, but I'm not sure if he is yet. You might check with him -- he's a great surgeon.

Topic: November Support Group
Just checking out Norton Bariatric Surgeons website and saw that there is support group tomorrow evening, Thursday, 11/11, at Norton Suburban, If my DIL has not gone into labor by then, I plan to be there. BTW, went to Dr. Allen's new office yesterday and really like the new place. Got an unfill with Amy- I was just TOO tight. Hope to see some of you Thursday.

I use Smoothie King Gladiator as a meal replacement for breakfast. It does have 45g of protein so I drink this over 1 1/2 hours. It is packed with vitamins and only has 1 carb (in the powder) depending on the 2 fruits you use will determine the total carbs.
3/4 cup water
1cup ice
2 scoops of Gladiator (vanilla)
1/2cup fruit #1
1/2cup fruit #2
a little splenda if needed depending on fruit
Blend, Blend Blend...then blend some more....

I use EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control, has 110 calories, 17 g protein, 3 g fat and 4 carbs if chocolate and only 3 if vanilla. This gives you an 11 oz serving.. I buy the premixed at Walmart but it also comes in a powder. I love the stuff.

Some days I struggle with eating early and go to Aria chocolate protein powder. 14 g.protein, 4g carbs & 80 cal. per serving. I usully put in 1/3 banana & make it with milk rather than the recommended water. I'm pretty sure I got it at Kroger.
