Dr. Weiss is an excellent surgeon, but you will never see him again unless you have MAJOR problems. That is the problem I have with BBSA besides the fact that they let a NP do fills when she didnt' even know that an upper GI would not show a port leak. Their aftercare staff needs bettter training. They let my problem go on way too long when in fact they should have talked to him when they pulled out what one of the PAs called "dark green stuff from my port." I knew it was old blood but she didn't realize that but since she contaiminated it with fresh blood she didn't want to show it to him. Therefore I can't recommend the practice. Bigtime, I just hope you have no problems. You had an excellent surgeon.

I had surgery on 6.3 via Dr. Weiss with the Bluegrass group. So far I've had a very favorable experience and would definitely recommend.

Topic: update

Just wanted to update on where everything is for me. I finished up the medical weightloss portion last week and everything has been submitted to my insurance. At the end of the month I'm scheduled for the nutrition seminar. It's just a matter of waiting for the insurance approval. Hopefully this time next month I'll have a date. So far I've lost 26 pounds on the medical weightloss. The closer it gets to getting things final the more nervous I get. I have never had any type of surgery before. I know that things will be ok in the long run.

Hi Annie, you may already know by now ( I saw chatter in a chat room) Debbie Sonnanstine and the Sonnanstine men were blessed with boy number 3. "Alex"..they are both doing awesome. I text Dr. Sonnanstine earlier today, He is on cloud nine and so are the boys. The doc posted pics on his facebook page. what a big healthy looking baby and Debbie is radiant..as always.

HI Brenda, I just jumped on here. I too have been dealing with a lot. My daughter got really sick in december. She had a virus that attacked her pancrease and she is now a juvenile diabetic. Her pancrease is done, finished. Hopefully she will have a pump this month. I have found to be a terrible stress eater, big time. I am trying hard to get back on track. I will get there.

So sorry for you loss. Hope your husband is doing good.
