I would have to say don't give up in the initial stages, persevere and fight with your insurance company. Get your HR department involved if you have to. Especially if you have co-mobidities that your weight exasperates. Take your pillow from home with you the day of surgery WALK, WALK, WALK, WALK after surgery, along with SIP, SIP, SIP PATIENCE!!! We are all different and things happen slowly which is why most of us picked this method to begin with. Don't expect overnight miracles and don't beat yourself up if you experience any setbacks. It happens to the best of us, just get back on that horse!! Last but not least LOVE, RESPECT, and NURTURE your band and yourself. This is about learning a new lifestyle not being on a permanent diet (that is a four letter word), new eating methods and excercise are an adjustment and a commitment. If you are not commited to this, lapband is probably not for you. Praise yourself for the smallest of accomplishments, you deserve it!
