can 1.7 CCs be too much??

Hi guys!! I had a fill last Weds. My third one and it brought me to just 1.7 CCs. I have been uncomfortable for the most part  ever since. I spoke to my NP today and since I am scheduled to go see the NUT in less than a week we decided to wait until then to decide if I need some taken out or not because they are both in the same building. I am aware of the fact that it may take upto 2 weeks for a fill to level off but damn, I hope it does not level off to giving me more restriction!!! I do not want to have any taken out but I cannot stand this either. I am on my week 3 diet again. Soft foods like chili and soups for a few days and then will try to move upto more solid foods to see if I can tolerate them or not. I asked my NP is it is at all possible that 1.7 is too much saline for me. She said I may be one of the few that she has seen that cannot tolerate much more than 1-1.5 CCs. I am tired of the pain and the frustration but I also have faith that Pam will get me where I am supposed to be in regards to my fills. Michele

Oh heck yea...we're all so different...some folks don't get enough with 4cc's and some get too much with 0.5cc...the number is truly meaningless as there really are only 3 fill levels: not enough, just right, too much; and the number that corresponds to those 3 levels is 100% individual, so absolutely, 1.7cc can be an overfill for some people.

What Nancy said. In my case, 1.5 was too much. Sue

No worries! I had 2 cc's and it was TOO much - they took out a teensy bit, and here I sit comfortably at 1.8. I haven't lost in a couple of weeks so I'm slighlty frustrated (see my above post), but definitely not in need of any more - 1.8 feels good for now.

I did not lose this week at all..but then again I did not work out this week either. But having this discomfort in my chest all the time akes me not want to do a damn thing. Thanks for the encouragement though!! Michele

Yes, most definitely! I have 1.25 and I think it's too much.  I've been fighting an unfill, but my husband is about to kill me.  He's like "if you're just going to throw up everything you eat, then you don't need a band!"  I keep thinking my body just needs to get used to it... it will loosen up, but it hasn't.  One of the reasons I am so shocked that I am overfilled is b/c before I had my baby I was at 2.2ccs and I was NOT at my sweet spot yet.  what the heck happened?!  I have no idea.  But, like you, I've been doing a lot of mushies and when I have tried to eat solids, it hasn't been fun or pretty, that's for sure. SO, back for an unfill I go.  Good luck to you! melissa
