I haven't had my surgery yet, but I am 5'5 and am shooting for a goal of 150.  This will put me in the "normal" range for a BMI.  I will re-evaluate at that time and maybe shoot for 135-140, we'll see.

I'm 5'2" with a medium frame and set my goal weight at 130 lbs, which is on the high side of what the charts say I ought to be.  I felt I looked best at 115 but that was a VERY long time ago...maybe when I'm at 130 I'll re-evaluate. Jean

I'm 5'4 1/2", current weight is 153, I am in a size 10p, almost ready for an 8, if I get to 150 (which is my goal) I'll be happy, a little less, even happier.

I'm 5'4" and my doctor's goal is 126.  I would like anything under 150 realistically.

I am 5'7", medium build and currently 185lbs (lost 50 lbs since Nov. 23) . My goal weight is 145 lbs. What really tickles me the most is that I will be able to sustain my loss. Once upon a time I did weigh 145 lbs for about 2 minutes.

I'm male, so I have to look at different charts than you, but for me at 5'6" I choose 150. Depending on where you look, the weight range for my height is 118-157, which is a crazy large range. I think I'd be just bones at 118 so I don't see how that's possible. But I set my goal at the high end of "normal" so it would be achievable. But who knows, when I get to 150 maybe I'll want to go to 145. It depends on how I look once I get there. Here are the height/weight charts I use. The "traditional" met-life tables http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/met.htm And more realistic tables are here (also as a link from the above page) http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm

You guys want to hear something kindof funny and almost wierd at the same time.  For my height (which I'll get to in a sec) the most I should weigh is 90 pounds to have a healthy BMI....Is that hilarious or what?...An almost 33 year old weighing 90 pounds.  I am only 4'3".  So now it makes more since doesn't it:)  LOL People already think my 14 year old daughter is my sister and my husband is my daddy:)  So, if I lose down to 90 pounds, they will really think that:)  I will LOVE every minute of it:)
