Port Question

Does your port area just get sore out of the blue sometimes?  I'm 7 weeks out and I really haven't started working out yet, just walking and this evening out of the blue my port area is soooo sore.  When I walked yesterday I walked with someone who walks a lot faster than me and there was a few slight inclines (not big though)  Do you think this has something to do with my port getting sore?  I just get so nervous that I have messed something up.  

i was banded 3/13/08 and sometimes my port will feel weird or sore for like a sec but not for a while ask your doc.

if I use my abdominal muscles a lot, it will be sore. also sometimes my bigger incision stings.  it's obvious to me that it is the incision and not the port... but it did scare me.  i'd mention it to your doctor.

I had my surgery on 3/18/08 and I have really noticed this week that I am sore at the port site also, but mine is during the night, when I roll over on my side from my back it wakes me up.  It wasn't feeling like this before.  I was wondering too if it was normal to be sore still.  I like you, I havent started any intense exercise other than walking and did my eliptical once, so I really dont think its that.  In fact if it hurts again tonight I am going to call the nurse tomorrow and ask if that is normal after 6 weeks. It just feels like its bruised or something. 

Yup, that port area is something else....I still get sore out of the blue and I'm over a year out!  And I can feel the scar tissue from the port incision and that gets sore and sensitive too.

To funny MALIA - I'm a year out as well and still get some port soreness, but its nothing, normally like a itching burning thing and then gone?!?!?!??!!?!?  go figure!!!  Dont let it worry you unless the pain is unbearable!!!!!!

I am 3/20/08 and mine will be sore if I wear the wrong kind of pants. If it hits my port area when I sit down for a long period of time is when I notice it. The pants are not too tight my any means now.

Wow I was just going to post about that- Yesterday  I had alot of pain there and today i dont?? Like you im just walking too... Hmm thank god I didnt go to the hospital!
