I really need a fill and I can't wait until May 14th because that's when I get another one.  I have read all the posts about people who have gotten their first fill but could still eat to much.  I thought, "there's no way that you could get a fill and still eat" but I was WRONG!!!  I feel like I can eat way more than I should be able too!  Is this normal?  Tonight we went to an Italian restaraunt.  I ate most of my side salad and a little lasagna but I still felt like that was TO MUCH!!!! Please tell me this is normal!!!!

I got my first fill today and I was told I may need 2-3 fills to get good restriction. I have 5cc's in my 10 cc band. It may need 6-7cc's I hope that helped. Carrie

Normal. The bandster hell saga continues for you as it does for many after the first fill.  IMHO, this is the hardest thing about the band. I don't know your fill history, but if your doc gives fills too quickly, he increases the risk that you'll suffer a band erosion.  That's way worse than being hungry and it's a risk I'm sure he wants to avoid.   My doc gives a first fill after about 6 weeks and a second after 4 more.   Hang in there.

1st fill 6wks post op 2nd fill 2 weeks later 3rd fill 2weeks later - next friday I think my next fill will put me at a good spot for awhile. I had to call my doc's and ask for a fill sooner because I was starving all of the time. I'm glad that my doc allowed it. When I saw him for that 2nd fill, I asked what happens if I can still eat too much? He said I could come back in 2 weeks...and I am! Time to get the show on the road! Best wishes!
