just waiting for my first fill. I turned my first one down almost a month ago due to great restriction and fast weight loss- but now I AM HUNGRY. lol It happened so fast. I just woke up and BLAM! Hunger. My calories keep creeping up and my scale has gone on strike. But the doc's nurse said she didn't have anything open until the 4th of next month! Yikes! Well, it is safe to say my honeymoon phase is over. I'm still getting my walks in but it is discouraging when your scale won't move. Any advice while I wait it out?

Thanks Elena. I am reaffirming the rules before I eat anything. And am making sure to have "good" snacks if I need one. I'm really bad with having something to drink with my meals so I am cracking down on that.

I keep having to re-read your post because I keep getting distracted by your avatar! I love it!

You have done so well with your current weight loss. I can sympathise with you. I am waiting for my first fill. I wasnt interested in food in the first 3 weeks post op. I was stuffed full on only half a cup of mush... then... it disapeared and now I am STARVING!

My calories are creeping up as well. I have put on 2 pounds and discovered that cheesecake slide through the band veerrrry easily!

I am not sure what our are solution should be, but misery loves company, and we can chip away at it together. Roll on fill-time

Claire

Normal is just a setting on the washing machine........       6.6ml in a 10ml band

Oh no cheescake! I love cheescake. Luckily I don't have any in the house. But I did have chocoalte (not SF) mint pudding. Unfortunately I had some last night. I don't think there is a solution for us. I just try to have more good days than bad. I'm back to pre- measuring everything I eat and spacing things out. Fill time can't get here fast enough. But you look like you are doing great on your exercise! I could do better. Is that just for this month?

You are lucky your Dr. gave you the option of getting a fill so soon. I noticed your surgery date was about 2 weeks after mine and I just was able to get a fill last week. My doc said I didn't need one for the same reasons yours did, but I begged for one. He usually gives 4cc (in 10cc Ap), but only gave me 2cc. It's working OK for now, but when given the option for the next appt. at 6,7, or 8 weeks, I chose 6 weeks. I remember what Bandster Hell was like. The weight will come off if you follow all the rules though. You may just have water weight. I think everyone has that period of time when the scale doesn't move or creeps up. Keep the faith.

I love my Doc. He has had the band himself for a couple years. So he listens really well to what I say. Plus he doesn't look down on having beer or diet soda (as a treat) cause he has both. I like him alot and Im glad I picked him. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I think there is a support group here in town so i'm going to look into it. Good luck hanging in there until your next fill. But it sounds like you are doing pretty good.

I know EXACTLY how you feel.  I'm just a couple weeks ahead of you but I had my 1st fill after 5 weeks.  I go for another one next week and I CAN'T WAIT!!  My scale hasn't moved in 2 weeks and I'm up a  pound.  I know that I can eat more than I should be able to, although it's not close to what I ate before surgery.  I'm ready to get my fill so I can get my lose on:)
