Have any of you bought an article of clothing that is too small for motivation?

As I am typing this I have a pair of size 12 Lucky jeans I picked up fairly cheap that I need to work towards. I was wearing some 12's several months ago but my poor eating over the summer have me back in my 14's . The Lucky jeans even for a size 12 seem more like a 10 but I'm working towards that for a goal. At the beginning of my journey I had many things that were way tight and it's a great feeling when you grab something in your closet you think may be still to small and it's actually too big.

Hey, I like those jeans too! But I am always afraid to order jeans online because I can take three pair at the store into the dressing room and only one fits! It seems they have a lot of leeway in the tailoring or something. I hope you love zipping up those jeans. I have a nice black pantsuit in my closet that I think I am about 10 pounds away from. I take it about once a week and try it on to make sure I don't miss the window, because I had another lovely suit that I kept waiting to fit into, and now in truth it feels a little loose and I've only worn it twice. I should have worn it back when I could get into it but wondered if maybe it was still a little tight!
Yeah, I bought a size 14 dress for $2 in a yard sale. It has short sleeves and the bottom is A-line. I poured myself in it today with the aid of a two piece girdle. However I was in it. I don't have any clothes in smaller sizes because I have been overweight over 30 years and the stuff I was saving is for a much younger me when I let stuff hang out that just hangs now. LOL

I got a pair of size 18 dress pants.... they are waiting for skinny me to fit into them :-)
I bought 3 pairs of Size 2X scrubs. (I wear Size 3X now.) Not very glamorous, but a big step for me. They're a testament of my faith in the lap band and my ability to finally lose weight and keep it off.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
I did! I needed a new size in jeans...I bought the next size down plus, I bought 2 sizes smaller because they were on clearance and I would wear them when I could...Guess what? Within a week...I could fit in the pants I was saving!

I did not buy anything but I had found these oh so cute pants at my moms along time ago. I grabbed them thinking that someday I might wear them. Well the time came and I wore them and just loved it and then the time came that low and behold they are way to big. It was a fantastic feeling and a bad feeling all at the same time. Good luck and enjoy!
Yikes!!! $98.00. I would surely wait to get those in a size 14 or maybe even a 12. Your size is going to change drastically and fast. Every 6 weeks you will probably be in a new size. I guarantee you won't be in an 18 for very long and then you won't be able to wear the pants, they will be too big. If you really need a pair of "LUCKY" jeans I would definitely do EBAY and get them @ half that price.
You will see that buying clothes for yourself will be like buying clothes for a baby, always growing out of them...
