What is the difference between UGI and Flouro?
Ok, here's my best definition. An UGI or Upper GI series is a barium swallow used to make sure the esophogus and stomach are ok for surgery. You lay on a table, take some radio active pop rocks followed by a chalky barium chaser, then they xray as you drink. Flouro is used to do fills in some docs offices. I've never had it done but I think its like an xray so they can make sure they hit the port right when doing fills. I hope this made sense.
